I grew up eating popcorn often. It was a snack that my parents always kept on hand for everyone to munch on in the evenings.  I still enjoy popcorn as a snack, however, we rarely have it in our home because we do not use a microwave.  So when I get the chance to try some popcorn, I jump.  Back when my husband and I were still dating, we’d frequent the movie theatre often and popcorn was always my treat of choice.  One time, we went on a double date with some friends and made the mistake of asking for “extra butter.”  The gentleman (teen) behind the counter pumped and pumped and pumped.  Finally, one of us spoke up and said that was good.  The bag was loaded heavy with so much butter that we couldn’t even eat it all.  My friend held the bag and by the end of the movie, her pants were drenched in butter.  While three of us found this hysterical, she did not because we still had another event to attend after the movie.  I still shudder when I think back to that bag of popcorn but, thankfully, that experience did not ruin my love for popcorn.

I was able to partner with a Gourmet Popcorn Company called Caja Popcorn for this review. Caja Popcorn offers three different size tins: one gallon, two gallon, and three and a half gallon.  Each tin allows you to choose up to three different flavors.  They offer choices of: Classic Butter, Sea Salt Caramel, Spicy BBQ, Pimento Cheese, Kettle Corn, and a special flavor of the month.  While Caja Popcorn offers some great choices, I was most impressed with the fact that they strive to offer a healthier alternative.  Their products are made avoiding: heavy oils, lots of butters, and perservatives.  Only the finest and top quality ingredients are included in Caja Popcorn to bring their customers the yummiest and healthiest product possible.  We chose the Sea Salt Caramel, Pimento Cheese, and Kettle Corn for our review tin.

 As soon as I told my husband and kids what was inside, they all crowded around.  My husband couldn’t get the cover open fast enough and within seconds, everyone was digging in.  The popcorn was so fresh!  We ended up with a supper of popcorn because it was so yummy.  The flavors were all really good with each having its own distinct taste.
