As a child, getting arts and crafts related gifts were some of the most exciting gifts for me. I now have nieces and nephews who enjoy crafts so I like to get them craft related gifts to hopefully give them that excited feeling too so I always have my eyes open for new types of craft related gifts for the kids. I also keep in mind that many times, their parents don’t care for big messes or letting them use glue, scissors, etc. So I’m always eager to learn about projects that kids can do and enjoy that don’t include lots of messy materials. When I stumbled upon ConsumerCrafts.com I was exited for several reasons. They have tons of basic craft supplies like felt, foam, burlap and ribbon that you can use to create just about anything. They also have kits for those of us who could use the extra guidance. Yet, what excited me most was their mess-free craft kits and other products for children.

I was able to check out an assortment of products from Consumer Crafts and I am excited to share them with my nieces and nephews to let them create and explore.

treehousePomTree

I was sent a few PomTree brand kits which are designed for kids and don’t require any glue. They are a foam like material that is made to fit snugly together on its own so no glue is needed. There are several kits available and they are strong enough to allow you to build 3D models such as the treehouse kit that I was sent. I love the PomTree kits because the kids will be excited to build the project on their own and the parents will love how easy clean up is. Plus, they’re really affordably priced. The treehouse kit is just $8.97, for example.

ConsumerStickers

PomTree also offers tubs of stickers that are primarily the same foam like materials except these have paper backings that when peeled off reveal the adhesive side, though some of the buckets have traditional stickers also. My 3 and 3.5 year old nephews absolutely love these foam types of stickers but they use up so many at once. I love how the tubs have anywhere from 382 up to 709 stickers in each bucket yet they’re all priced under $10 a tub. Removing the backing from the stickers is great fine motor skill practice, too!

lipbalm

I was also sent a Creativity For Kids Make Your Own Lip balm set which I know my 10 year old sister will love because she enjoys creating things and using lip gloss. So this kit will be the perfect combination for her. Consumer Crafts has lots of other Creativity for Kids brand kits as well as Alex and other well known craft kit brands for children.

ConsumerMug

Last but not least, I was excited to get to check out a Design A Mug kit. These are just $1.47 or $1.57 (depending on which design you go with) each which makes them the perfect stocking stuffer. The mug comes apart into two pieces and has a couple of coloring sheets that you can color and then place between the two layers of the cup so that your coloring page shows through. Of course, if you measure the papers you can cut your own strips to the correct size and make your own creations also. I had never seen mugs like this before so I thought they were pretty cool especially for the price. Some are regular coloring pages and others are velvet pieces. The velvet ones are kind of neat because if you color on the velvet portions, you can’t see it very well so it helps you make the perfect picture.
