We have had our iPad for about a year and a half now. It was the first updated piece of technology we had in our home. At that point, our computer was about four years old, my cell phone was about five years old, and our television was about fifteen years old. So owning an iPad was a huge change for us. While my husband and I use the iPad sporadically, it sees most use by our children so I was happy to partner with CTA Digital on this review.
The Kids Drawing Easel For iPad is a child sized easel with dual purpose. One side is a dry erase board while the other side has a built in case for an iPad. While there is some minimal assembly required, no tools are needed. I assembled the Easel by myself in about five minutes. The legs need to be secured with the bolts and nuts provided and the art supply tray is secured the same way. There are three height positions: 2 feet 4 inches, 2 feet 8 inches, and 3 feet. In my opinion. these positions are good for kids up to age 4 or so if standing. However, older kids can kneel or sit while using too. The kids enjoy using this easel but our 6 and 8 year olds wish it would go taller.
This set also comes with a dry-erase marker, sponge eraser, and iPad stylus. The easel easily locks open and is fairly sturdy (doesn’t tip too easily) but it is lightweight so our 1 year old likes to push it around the house. The iPad attaches into the tablet holder. Once secured, the tablet holder easily rotates 360 degrees and locks in either the horizontal or vertical positions. I do like that there is a white board on the other side to make this dual purpose. A clasp at the top of both sides so papers and artwork could be attached (for painting) would be a great addition to this easel. While there is only one art tray included, I wish there were two. I placed ours on the dry erase side to hold markers and an eraser but I’d have loved one on the other side to store the iPad stylus. One last change I’d like to see is an opening to the volume controls. While this is a nice easel, I think with some of the adjustments/changes I mentioned, it could be great.
The Kids iPad Drawing And Activity Case makes a great system for storing, using, and traveling with an iPad for children. The activity case has the dry erase board built in and the opposite side secures the iPad. This comes with a dry erase marker, sponge eraser, and iPad stylus. The top rotates (360 degrees) so I can have the dry erase board or the iPad ready for use. The two built in drawers are handy for storing markers, eraser, or pencils. I do like that there is a sturdy handle which makes transporting the case easy. Even though this is technically an iPad case, it could be used as a general arts and crafts case as well. Our daughter especially loves artsy things and this is perfect for her even when she isn’t using the iPad.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

I have yet to invest in an iPad so all this new technology, even seeing it years later, is new and cool to me. I received a kid’s art easel recently, but it is a dry marker board and a chalk board on the other side. I love this easel too and if I get an iPad anytime soon, will have to check it out.
This belongs in the category of “What will they think of next!” Guess you will never have to worry about your kiddos dropping your iPad!! 🙂
