I wear Yoga pants almost everyday while I’m at home or sleeping. They’re so comfortable, almost like sweat or pj pants but I like how they don’t look so frumpy. I was recently sent a pair of Organic Yoga Pants from Green Apple Active and they quickly became my favorite pair of yoga pants that I own.
The are 33″ long when they are purchased but they have a raw seam (no hem) so people like me who are short can cut them shorter to whatever length they need. This is a great feature for me because I am 5′ tall and need a 27.5 inch inseam and even companies that offer ‘short’ versions of their pants usually have a 30 inch length. They are made of bamboo support jersey material. If you’re familiar with bamboo clothing you’ll know that is a breathable, very flexible soft fabric. In the past, bamboo clothing that i’ve owned has very little form to it, which is not at all the case with these yoga pants. These Fitted Yoga Flare pants are soft and stretchy like bamboo but they have way more structure than most bamboo clothing does. In fact, some of my other yoga pants start out form fitting and then after a few hours of wear and get saggy until washed again – these don’t do that at all. They keep their shape even if I wear them most of the day and then overnight, so they are always hugging my body and looking great.
The only downside that I’ve found of these yoga pants is they seem to attract pet hair a lot. I tried to use a tape style lint roller on them once and then later realized there was a bit of pilling of the fabric in the area that I had lint rolled. A lot of yoga pants have really high waist bands that have to be folded over to create a regular height waist, where as these aren’t designed to be folded over and end where most of us want them to – an inch or so below the belly button. I think that not having the extra fabric on top makes the waist area more supportive because there isn’t all that excess to throw around, there’s just enough fabric to naturally grab my sides and stay there.
I have five or six pair of yoga pants total but these are my favorite because I love how they fit, don’t stretch out over the day and are able to be customized to my perfect length. I’d love to get another pair as a gift, I’m sure other women would love to find them under the tree also! Mine are black but they also come in heather charcoal which is a dark gray.
