It can get hard to find special gifts for the people in your lives and it seems to be even harder to find a toy that will still be in play and not forgotten in the corner two weeks later. I worked with SuperFly Kids earlier this year and am happy to say that the capes I reviewed are definitely still being used often around our home. So I was excited to be able to partner with them again and share some more great products with you. You can read my first review Here.
I was sent an assortment of capes, crowns, and a belt from Superfly Kids. As I mentioned above, the capes were and still are a hot ticket item around our home. Any children that visited and spotted the capes have to give them a try. Since we only had two at first, this led to some impatient waiting for turns. Not only that, but we have three of our own children that were always wanting a cape too. (While I think learning to share and to take turns is a great lesson, super hero play is always the more the merrier.) Now we have enough capes to go around and they are definitely a hit. It’s so much fun to watch the transformation that happens to a child (ok ok, and even an adult) when that cape is put on. Superhero status commences immediately and the running, jumping, “flying”, and hero saving duties are performed emphatically. Again, these superhero duties pertain to both children and adults alike and I will let you in on the secret that all six members of our family are, indeed, part superhero.
The Capes are handmade in the USA from 100% satin. There are lots of choices for colors and emblems and there are personalized capes available as well. The capes are lightweight so they don’t slow any superhero down and feel soft and comfortable as well. There is a velcro closure by the neck but all capes fit plenty loose so you don’t have to worry about anyone getting hurt. The colors are fun and eye catching. I can’t say enough great things about Power Capes products. Since they have two sizes available, they even fit the youngest superheros. Superfly Kids also makes adult size Power Capes but we find that the longer child size one works just fine for us.
The Crowns are one size fits all (child size), however, I am even able to get it on my head. They are soft and made from felt-like material. I like that they can be folded flat for storage when not in use. Even though the crowns are bendable, they are thick and feel well made. The added touch of the felt pieces and jewels around the top really give the crowns a finished look. These crowns are a great addition to all the imaginative play that happens around our home.
The last item I received was the Atomic Blaze Kids Belt. It has the hook and loop (or velcro) closure so it’s really easy for children to operate themselves. I ordered the medium (up to size 6T) size for my 3 year old thinking he’d be able to use it longer but it’s way too big on him. I should have went with the small (up to size 3T) size. However, it is a very nice belt and in a couple years he will be able to use it. For now, I’m going to have to pass it on to our 6 year old.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
