While the colder Winter weather is creeping in, it doesn’t truly feel like Christmas time until we start listening to Christmas music and sitting down as a family to watch some Christmas movies.  Our family loves snuggling in the living room on cold December evenings and watching a nice movie while it snows outside.  Over the years, we have come to know and love the Big Idea Entertainment, LLC, series VeggieTales.  Their newest movie, “Merry Larry And The True Light Of Christmas” is no exception and I was happy to partner with VeggieTales on this review.

Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber are decorating the Spring Valley Mall for Christmas.  However, when a small girl comes in and shares her big heart with Larry, everything changes.  Larry takes on a mission to find the little girl and help her neighbor.  Through all the giggles, mis-understandings, and fun, the love, humor, and joy of VeggieTales brings another hit to the screen.  It all ends with the big bang of Star Burst In A Box and the true meaning of Christmas.

Our Thoughts:

We have watched this movie multiple times now and enjoy it every time and the running time of 47 minutes is just right.  Our kids are 8, 6, 3, and 1 so we really enjoy our VeggieTales family movie nights and Merry Larry really helps bring the Christmas season into perspective.   I can’t forget to mention that the “Silly Songs With Larry” is fantastic as usual.  We have all been singing “Wrapped myself up for Christmas” since the first viewing of this movie.  It’s catchy and the kids find it completely hilarious.  All in all, Merry Larry And The True Light Of Christmas receives 12 thumbs up from our family.
