I received products from Walter Foster for this review. All opinions are my own.
Savannah, my almost 7 year old daughter, really enjoys drawing. Since a very young age, she has impressed us with her artistic abilities. Since neither my husband nor I can draw a straight line without a ruler, we encourage Savannah to practice her drawing so she can progress with her abilities.
A few months ago, I found a Walter Foster kids drawing book at a garage sale. It showed step-by-step instructions on how to draw dinosaurs. It even came with a tablet of drawing paper. I decided to buy it and surprised Savannah with it. She really liked it.
I did a little research and found that Walter Foster has several kids drawing books. For our review, we received Things Girls Love, I Love Horses! Activity Book, I Love Dogs! Activity Book, Learn to Draw Disney Enchanted Princesses Drawing Book & Kit, Learn to Draw Disney Pixar Brave and Learn to Draw Pets.
Savannah is having a lot of fun building on her drawing skills. The instructions included in Walter Foster books have been great help to her.
She also enjoys the extras in the books: facts about the animals and characters, postcards, bookmarks, door hangers, games, puzzles, stickers and more. Savannah’s drawing abilities are really developing with the guidance of these books.
Cheyenne, my 4.5 year old daughter wanted to be included in the drawing fun. Her book, Things Girls Love, is a great introduction into the world of drawing. Along with easy to follow drawing tips, this book includes a story, drawing pad and stickers. This book is perfect for beginners.
If you have a budding artist or more advanced artists, the Walter Foster kids drawing books make great holiday gifts for boys and girls. They are fun and provide a lot of helpful drawing tips.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

OH man, I LOVE these! Back to basics and the art of drawing, coloring and imagination. I always try to find these kinds of gifts for my kids and the other young people in my life. It seems like they have the most fun and can spend hours.

What a great garage sale find! These are well worth full price though. I am so bad at drawing but try and do look at the kid’s books for help so I’d love these.
These books are really cute. My daughter loves to draw, so when she gets a little older and could follow the suggestions like these, I will absolutely have to get her some. Especially the I Love Dogs and Disney Princesses ones.
