Finding holiday presents for adults can be hard. Sometimes it’s best to go with a gift you know your loved one will actually use. If you know someone who’s a big fitness buff, into weight training, or just uses protein powders in their diet, Bodylogix has a great line of protein powder. Their protein powder comes from non-GMO sources, grass-fed cows, is free of hormones and antibiotics, and free of unnatural preservatives. It also comes in a compostable container. I was very happy to be able to try out some Bogylogix protein powder.

I received the following from Bodylogix to review:

I received the Bodylogix Natural Whey Isolate Protein in the compostable canister in vanilla, and samples of the Natural Whey Concentrate Protein, and Vegan Protein.

I decided a few months ago to become a vegetarian. Since then, I’ve been looking for good protein sources. Protein powder is a great way to add protein into your diet. It’s also great for muscle building, and to fuel workouts.

The Bogylogix line is especially great protein powder, as it is as natural as it gets. Lots of protein powder is chock full of unhealthy ingredients, sugar, and stuff that’s just plain unhealthy. However, the Bodylogix line of protein powders are gluten-free, and contain no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners. They are all-natural, and cold-pressed. The whey proteins come from grass-fed cows, and the vegan protein comes from non-GMO sources. The protein powders are sweetened with Stevia, one of the best sugar substitutes out there, and completely natural.

The Bodylogix protein also comes in compostable, recyclable canisters. Most protein powders come in plastic that will most likely end up in a landfill, and will never degrade. The Bodylogix protein canister will degrade easily over time, and is completely recyclable. This makes Bodylogix protein very green and eco-friendly.

I really enjoyed all the protein powders. I personally liked the Whey Isolate Protein the best. Whey isolate protein is filtered more, and contains more pure protein, and less carbohydrates and fat from the whey. It also has a lot less lactose in it, so if you’re lactose intolerant, whey isolate protein is the way to go.

As far as the taste, I preferred the whey proteins over the vegan proteins. However, the vegan proteins are great for any vegan that does not want milk-based protein. I also really liked the vanilla flavor the best, as I’m not a fan of chocolate. I like the vanilla mixed in with some milk if I’m in a rush, or mixed in with a fruit smoothie if I have some time.

The taste of the Bodylogix protein powder is definitely comparable to other protein powder brands, but without all the artificial ingredients. So overall, I really enjoyed the Bodylogix protein powder. With the compostable, recyclable canister, it makes Bodylogix the most eco-friendly, green protein powder line that I know of. And with it’s lack of artificial ingredients, it makes for some really healthy protein powder. It would make a great gift for a fitness buff, or a vegetarian like me!
