There are lots of choices when it comes to baby toys and products. When I was pregnant with our first, I didn’t have a clue what the difference between anything was and we basically made random choices for what we purchased with no rhyme or reason behind them. While we ended up being happy with some of our choices, we regretted many others. Now, while I may not always make the right choices all the time, I do lots of research before making these bigger purchases.
Ingenuity carries an array of baby products from bouncers and rockers to high chairs, play yards, swings and sway seats. They carry some really beautiful collections that allow their customers to have matching pieces if they so chose. I was happy to partner with Ingenuity for this review. I was sent the Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 Deluxe High Chair, which is a traditional style chair with a few added perks.
The assembly was fairly easy and only took my husband about ten minutes. This is what came in the box.
Once assembled, I was curious to see if anything would stand out from other traditional high chairs. First off, the colors and patterns appealed greatly to me. I love elephants and this pattern is adorable and gender neutral. The seat pad is removable (as is the infant bolster for added support with infants) and machine washable. Perfect since we all know what messy eaters the little ones can be. Lately, our son has decided that putting his food in his hair is the perfect way to show us that he is done eating.
The Trio 3-in-1 Deluxe High Chair also comes with a dishwasher safe tray and tray insert.
Safety is always an important feature in my book. Safety straps and buckles need to be easy to use and secure or else they tend to be forgotten. The highchair has a 5-point harness that is easy for me to work and adjustable to fit whatever size child is using.
When in booster mode, the Trio 3-in-1 Deluxe High Chair has straps that come out and secure the booster to the chair. Two sets of straps come out and can be tightened for a safe fit to prevent the booster from sliding.
The biggest and best feature of this Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 Deluxe Chair is the fact that it can grow with the child or be used for two children at the same time. The three mode options are: high chair, booster chair, and toddler chair. All in this one box. No need to purchase a separate booster any more. I am all for saving money and this chair offers the chance to make one purchase but fulfill several needs.

The one major change I’d like to see is a slightly smaller footprint on the high chair base. While this is not the widest I’ve seen, the base does still stick out and has caused a few tripping incidences. I’m sure it’s designed wider to give the sturdiest and safest seat, but I’d love to see a reduction in this area.
If you are in the market for a traditional high chair, be sure to check out the Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 Deluxe. This chair offers a lot of bang for your buck.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

Wow you gave a really thorough review. I am going to recommend the high chair to a pregnant friend of mine. She is a first time mommy, and I am sure she would appreciate this 🙂

I don’t think I have ever seen a more versatile high chair. The elephant pattern is cute too!

We’ve been shopping for high chairs for my sister and this looks like it needs to be added to the list.

Omgosh this is great! We have a booster high chair (that sits on a kitchen table chair) and as we’ve almost outgrown it, it’d be awesome if it converted to a toddler chair like this one!

Great review. I am considering whether to purchase this high chair, but I am concerned about the large size of the base (as you mentioned). Can you post the dimensions of the high chair at its base?
Love the dual purpose aspect. Looks like a nice chair!
