When it comes to my clothing, I tend to look for products that are unique from what most people are wearing. I don’t like to follow trends really closely or own the exact same items that other people I know are buying. I buy a lot of clothing online because that decreases the chance of someone I know getting the same item. Light In The Box is an online store that has tons of women’s clothing items that are really unique from what I see in stores around me. I was sent a pair of boots, a sweater and a hoodie for myself.

The boots are called “Suede Platform Snow Boots Mid-Calf Boots” on the site and they are available in black, brown (which is dark brown) or yellow (which is a tan or light brown). They are sized in European sizes but I just used the size chart on the Light In The Box site to find my size. I’m a 7.5 here in the US. A 7 is a 38 in European sizes and an 8 is a 39 so to be safe I ordered a 39 and they fit great. These boots have a thick grooves on the soles so they grip well on snow or light ice and they give me a bit of a heigth boost as well. They are really stiff on the sides so they are a bit less accommodating of wider feet than some other options. I would say my feet are wider than normal and these fit okay but I really notice/feel the sides of the boots because they’re close to being snug. I like the rounded toe and sides of these boots, I think they make my feet look a bit smaller than some other shoes do. I’ve used them to walk through the snow and after a few minutes I start to feel a bit of a chill but they are fairly warm. In areas that only get a couple of inches of snow max, the main material of the boot won’t even be in the snow becuase of the heel.

The sweater that I got is no longer available on the site but it is soft, stretchy and comfortable but also hugs my body in a feminine way. It’s a bit longer than I expected which is nice for keeping me warmer and preventing my back or belly from coming uncovered when I move around. It’s a great thickness for wearing in the winter inside to keep warm.

The hoodie that I was sent is called “Womens Stylish Hoodie” on the site and comes in black, light gray, dark gray, red and fuschia. It’s only available in one size which is recommend for sizes small and medium. I wear a size small about 50% of the time and a medium about 50% of the time so I thought there as a good chance that this would fit and it does. It’s a bit longer than I expected so the belly area of the hoodie kind of bunches up from the excess fabric but I’ve found myself wearing this hoodie all the time since I got it. It’s just cotton material but its multiple players thick. The hood and the back of the inside is fuzzy and the sleeves are a slick material that makes it easy to get off an on. The sleeves are a tiny bit long on me but this just gives the hoodie an oversized, cozy feel. It’s a bit warmer than my other hoodies but seems how its primarily cotton, its breathable so I don’t overheat. I like how it has a unique look because of the square pockets with button accents. The zipper does seem a bit fragile or small, but I haven’t had any issues with it so far. The rest of the hoodie feels thick and durable, so I think its a great buy for $16.79.

In addition to clothing and fashion items, Light In The Box has electronics, household items, pet products and more. I am planning to move soon and want to get off on the right food by being really organized from the start. I thought that the Multifuntion Smile Pattern PP Storage Box was really cute and a good price at $8.99. You don’t get to choose a specific color but I liked all of the colors available so I didn’t mind. The sides of the bin fold down flat and when you stand them up, they have snaps to hold each side onto the other sides. The site says the bins are metal but mine is more of a vinyl like material. The box was smushed during shipping so it has a slight imperfection (there is a crease line where it was bent) but it’s still functional. I think the smiley face on either end of the bin make it super cute. When assembled it measures 9″ across, 12″ long and 6″ high so it can store papers, small toys, photos, etc.

I’m really happy with the price & quality of everything that I got from Light In The Box. I’ll be heading back for unique clothing & household items in the future.
