Ever since my daughter first met Peppa Pig on TV, she’s been in love with Peppa and her family. We have had the chance to review many Peppa Pig products already and even more lucky to receive a few more to share with you!

This time, we received 3 items: Peppa Pig’ Peek ‘n Surprise Playhouse Playset, a George Plush (both are made by Fisher-Price) and the book ‘Peppa Pig and the Muddy                                                                                   Puddles’.

The Playhouse Playset is super fun and would provide hours of entertainment even for someone who’s not very familiar with Peppa Pig. Here is why: this cute red and yellow playhouse isn’t just a regular playhouse with little pieces of furniture and appliances that kids have to pretend to open and close, and manipulate. The ‘Peek’n Surprise’ design means that all the furniture and appliances except for the couch and chairs can really be manipulated. Let’s say you want to bake a pie, well all you have to do is flip the oven door which will go from showing empty oven to showing a yummy pie. Take the fridge, open the door, and you can find it almost empty, flip the inner portion and it’s full again! Even the bathtub can be filled with bubbles!

I think this is truly genius! It makes the make-believe play that much more concrete which is especially nice for my little one because she is still learning how to play with a playhouse. Another benefit is that I don’t have to worry about losing tiny pieces that are sometimes included to make a playhouse more realistic (dishes, books, food, etc).

There are 16 appliances and pieces of furniture included as well as a Peppa Pig figure and a George figure. So far, that’s the only downfall of this house. I wish Mummy and Daddy Pig were included. They can be purchased separately though. For now, I kept the cardstock ones that were part of the packaging. Other than that, I can’t find any other thing to criticize… The house folds up nicely with all the pieces inside, it’s colorful and looks like Peppa’s decor, it’s just a wonderful playhouse playset!

The next item we received is a George Plush. Of course, whenever you see Peppa, George is never far. We already had a Peppa plush so it was time to get her little brother! He measures 9”, is soft, and looks just like the character on TV. I wish he could speak or interact in some way like our Peppa plush but he doesn’t. My daughter still likes him though and of course, she speaks for him so I guess it doesn’t really matter! It’s a lot more fun to play with both Peppa and George and since he’s fairly small, she’s actually able to carry both at the same time.

The last item we received is a book called ‘Peppa Pig and the Muddy Puddles’. Now if you know Peppa and her family, you know that they love puddles. So when Peppa and George go to bed at night and they hear the rain outside, they dream of jumping in muddy puddles and can’t wait for the morning. But when they wake up, it’s not muddy puddles that they find, it’s a big flood! I won’t tell you what happens next. I’ll just add that as it’s usually the case with Peppa, her day will be busy and anything but ordinary.

I love Peppa Pig books. They are big and bright and colorful! I like how they are written and even though my daughter is a bit young to read the whole thing at once (the book is 32 pages long), she really likes to listen to the story and look at the pictures. I know I’ll be reading Muddy Puddles over and over again over the next few months and probably years!

Overall, I have to say that I’m impressed with Peppa Pig products. I find sometimes when items are made based on a popular TV show, the quality just isn’t there. Luckily, this isn’t the case with any of the Peppa Pig products we received so far! I love how my daughter can create her own Peppa Pig stories or imitate what she sees on TV. Peppa is such a fun character, I hope my daughter will continue to love her and explore with her for a long time!
