*I was sent a Worx firetruck for the purposes of this review. All opinions are my own.
Worx Toys are vehicle based toys that are partially transparent so that you can see the working parts inside. For younger kids, this can make them realize that the “insides” of vehicles are what allow them to function the way they do. For older children, it helps them visualize it so they can better understand it.
I was sent the Worx Firetruck (called Torch) which is black but still transparent. There is a keypad that lets you type in codes that activate a single function of the inside so that you can see just that one section working. Each toy also comes with a storybook that tells a fun story while also explaining the vehicles functions in more depth. I was pleasantly surprised at how child-friendly the book is. While it has a lot of information in it, it doesn’t feel stiff or unnatural to read to a child.
Of course, the vehicles can be used like any other vehicle toy as well, so you have more options for play. In the case of the firetruck, the ladder can be controlled and the doors open. The wheels can even be removed to see further inside.
I like Worx toys for several reasons. I like how they can be used as educational tools or used as a regular old toy, so more play time can result from a single toy. I also like how kids of different ages can get different play and knowledge from the vehicles. A 3 year old can be introducced to the basic concepts and allowed to enjoy them as toys. Older children can really delve into how and why they work the way they do. I definitely recommend Worx toys for children who like to take things apart or are curious about how and why things work.

Toys that light up and make sounds are always a win for the kids. But I think it’s so awesome to see the inside of the toys when their parts move.

Wow! This is beautiful! My younger brother will surely love this. Well, anything that runs and light ups and makes sound is definitely a lovely toy.

Looks like a great gift! My son would love to play with a truck like this.
our littlest guy is three and he would love the sounds that it makes when he pushes buttons. Our older gal loves Cars and Trucks like the boys, she would have fun, seeing and hearing the different functions, when she enters new codes. She would enjoy reading the book as well.
