I really enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for my family. It’s a great time to include the kids and have some fun or, sometimes, I use it as a calming therapy when life has just been extra busy and hectic. While I can remember enjoying cooking and baking from the time I was young, I’ve found over the years that the right tools really help to ensure a positive experience. I came across a company called Architec Products that offers a wide range of fun and useful products to ensure a great experience. Architec Products sent me samples to facilitate this review and give my honest opinions.
The first item we received was the Hold-Bowl Mixing Bowl. The first thing I noticed that really stood out with the Hold-Bowl is that the handle is slightly stretchy. This aids in creating an easy way to grip the bowl and helps me keep a secure hold. Our 8 year old daughter really likes this handle because it helps her grasp the bowl while she stirs.
The design on the Hold-Bowl is unique and offers three options for the best comfort while in use: Cradle Hold, Clutch Hold, and Traditional Handle Hold.
I really like that the Hold-Bowl is lightweight but sturdy. I have a feeling that this will become a favorite as I am already reaching for it on am almost daily basis. The kids are finding it much easier to handle compared to the glass mixing bowl we would previously use.
The second product we received was the Five Minute Stackable Appetizer Maker. This was a little daunting to me at first. The description says nothing about recipes so I was worried that I would be on my own with creating. I was pleasantly surprised that there is, indeed, a mini recipe book included for ideas. Of course, I can always adapt and create on my own creations with the Five Minute Stackable Appetizer Maker but it’s nice to have a lead.
There are four pieces to the Appetizer Maker: Main Body, Cut & Carry Base, Tamper, and the Spreader/Serrated Knife. All of the pieces stack together for storage and the spreader/knife even inserts into the Tamper for safe keeping/storage.
I decided to start with something fairly easy: Roast beef sandwiches. I found it quite easy to layer and “squish”. The kids thought is was really neat watching their snack being assembled too. When it came time to cutting, our 8 year old was able to easily slice through with the included plastic serrated knife. While I probably could have pressed harder on the layers, I think our first try turned out pretty good.
We have also made some Pizza Stacks in our Five Minute Stackable Appetizer. I pre-baked the biscuits and then layered crust, sauce, meat, and cheese. I was able to do four layers total. After cutting and removing our Pizza Stacks from the Appetizer Maker, I put them in the oven for about 6 minutes to melt the cheese a little. *Note: The Stackable Appetizer Maker is not oven safe so the appetizer needs to be transferred to an oven safe pan if it needs to be heated.
While we have been having fun with the Five Minute Stackable Appetizer, and it truly does only take 5 minutes to assemble the appetizers. Keep in mind, though, the prep work to have all the ingredients ready to go should be taken into consideration. I think this product would be a great tool to have on hand for people who like to host gatherings. I’m not sure how much our family will use it on a daily or weekly basis but I do plan to dig it out when the holidays roll around so I can bring something unique to share.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
