Our kids have really embraced technology.  They enjoy spending time learning and playing games on all of our electronic devices.  While I don’t mind them taking advantage of these products in moderation, the volume can really drive me crazy.  There are times that I would enjoy some peace and quite and prefer not hear background music, game noises, or whatever other noises and voices the particular app is making.  Thankfully, Sakar has come to my rescue.  They have a great line of Kid-Friendly Headphones available.

We received the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Headphones for our boys to share and the My Little Pony Headphones for our daughter.  Our kids range in ages from 19 months through almost 9 years old and the headphones can be easily adjusted to accommodate each child’s head size and shape comfortably.

As soon as the kids saw the headphones, they were really excited.  The funny part was, they didn’t even know what to use them for.  They just loved the colors, look, characters, and design!  When I told them that they would be able to plug them into our Kindle, iPad, and even my iPhone, they were stoked.  We had to test them immediately.  I showed the kids where to insert the headphones into the jack and allowed them to do it themselves.  Even our 3 year old is easily able to hook the headphones to the unit.

While our youngest doesn’t quite understand the purpose of the headphones and prefers to walk around the house with them on his head but unattached to any device, our other three children are using the headphones to their full potential.  The best part is that I get to enjoy the quiet as they play and still get the full effect of the games, shows, and apps they are using.
