I guess it’s time to make the announcement official.  We are expecting baby number 5!  The kids are super excited and so are my husband and I.  This has been another rough pregnancy with severe morning sickness for the first 15 weeks but I finally feel like I’ve turned a corner and can start to enjoy life again.  Perfect timing too, since Summer is just around the corner.  This may be surprising but I’ve never had maternity swimwear with any of my other pregnancies.  I always stuffed myself into a regular suit, which as you can imagine, was quite uncomfortable.  This time, I decided that I needed to finally treat myself to a great fitting comfortable swimsuit so I’ll be ready to hit the beach this Summer with our kids.  When I came across Mermaid Maternity’s selection of great suits, I knew I had found my solution.

I decided to go with Mermaid Maternity’s Fold Over Maternity Board Shorts and Maternity Rash Guard Swim Shirt in Tropical.  Practical, cute, and this combination allows me the comfort of a suit that doesn’t put pressure on my growing belly.  I think it’s perfect for enjoying the Summer weather, staying cool, and being able to keep up with our other four kids.

I am so impressed with the comfort of this set.  The Fold Over Maternity Board Shorts support my belly without compressing it but I love that I have the option to just roll the panel over as well.  There is an elastic piece at the seam, between the panel and shorts, which helps create a better fit that will stay put during wear.  The Tropical Maternity Rash Guard Swim Shirt is made with a new material that contains Extra Life Lycra which resists chlorine damage and is also SPF 50+.  The front of the swim shirt is longer than the back, which allows room for my expanding baby belly.

Mermaid Maternity offers a great variety of mix and match tops and bottoms.  Their styles are flattering and the colors are gorgeous.  I wish I had found Mermaid Maternity sooner.  Had I known that maternity suits could look like this, I would have definitely been swimming in comfort and style a lot sooner.
