Recently, I read an article stating that even BPA free plastics can release other chemicals and hormones in the food and beverages they are storing.  Since then, I have slowly been replacing the majority of our older plastic children’s products with safer alternatives.  Anything that we were still using from our first child nine years ago is being phased out.  Thankfully, I came across the company Pacific Baby who offers bottles that grow with your child and turn into sippy cups and then a water bottle just by changing out the top accessory piece.  I was excited when Pacific Baby offered to send me some samples of their products.

Since our current youngest is about 23 months old, he is in the cup, sippy cup, water bottle stage.  While he can drink out of a regular cup, I only allow him to do so at some (very few) meal times and for quick drinks throughout the day.  Most often, I still give him a sippy cup because he really loves watching his beverage pour out as he tips his cups upside down.  So, unless I’m feeling adventurous, I just play it safe with him.

At the moment, we are not in need of the bottle feature so I switched out the 7 Ounce Bottle to have the Drink Top and the 4 Ounce Bottle to have the Sippy Spout With Handles.  All four kids were really excited about these new cups.  The colors are eye-catching and both accessory tops are easy to use.

We’ve been bringing our Pacific Baby 3-in-1 bottles everywhere.  They are perfect for on the go, have kept the boy’s water cold, and have saved my sanity by preventing spills.  When we ask the kids what cup they want, the Pacific Baby is at the top of their list as we are getting ready to head out for the day.
