Hipoglos diaper cream

Have you ever heard of the brand Hipoglos? It’s a brand of diaper rash ointment that I hadn’t heard of until recently. However, it’s been used on babies in Latin America for over 60 years. I was surprised that I hadn’t heard of it because it has been around for so long. The reason why you may not have heard of it is because for the first time, it’s available in the US. However, the fact that it has remained in business for over 60 years in Latin America is pretty impressive. Moms know best, and if they’ve supported this business for several generations in a row, It’s a pretty good bet that there’s a good reason for it!

Not all diaper creams use the same ingredients. So if you’ve tried a diaper rash cream in the past that didn’t work, it’s possible that Hipoglos might do the trick. I think the reason why moms have used this cream so long in Latin America is probably hidden in its active ingredient. Or really, I should say active ingredientS. Hipoglos includes the active ingredients of Zinc Oxide and Lanolin USP. If you’ve tried diaper creams in the past that haven’t worked for your baby, check the active ingredients. It’s likely that your other cream uses just one or the other of these two active ingredients in Hipoglos. Sometimes having the right mixture of ingredients is what is needed to take care of the rash. So if you’ve tried other products that don’t work well on your baby, Hipoglos might do the trick.

The cream forms a protective layer against diaper rash irritation. It works by protecting chafed skin while also sealing out wetness. It goes on smoothly and wipes off easily, so you aren’t left with a mess.

If you’d like to try Hipoglos, it’s available in the US on Amazon.com ($5.89 with $6.80 shipping) and Walgreens.

Have you tried Hipogloss? How did it compare to other diaper creams for your baby?

  • I have never heard of this before. I have heard of zinc oxide though and lanolin. It must be the amount of ingredients which makes it different. I will keep my eye out for it.

I’ve not seen this on the shelves but frequent Walgreens so I’ll check for it. Maybe a small tube would be good to check out on a trial basis.

This is the BEST diaper cream I have ever used. When I lived in TX, I could get it from Mexico. I’m pleased to learn I can get it in the US.
