I received product from eMedia Music for my review. All opinions are my own.
Both of my daughters, ages 5 and 7, have shown an interest in music. They love to make up songs and sing them. They both have guitars and love to put on shows for us. When we go to my in-laws’ house, there is a plethora of musical instruments for them to play with. I didn’t grow up in a musical family so I am glad that my daughters can explore music through my musical in-laws.
Recently, my oldest daughter told us they were learning to play keyboards in her 1st grade music class. She said they were encouraged to bring in a keyboard of their own. We didn’t own a keyboard. My husband approached me with the idea of getting one for her to use at school and then having it at home for them to learn on. I did some research and was impressed with the selection of musical teaching products I found at eMedia Music.
For our review, eMedia Music was happy to send the girls a My Piano Starter Pack. This package includes a USB MIDI Keyboard, instructional Win/Mac CD-ROM and DVD, USB cable, AC adaptor, piano chord dictionary and installation guide.
The eMedia DVD and CD are great teaching tools. I don’t have any experience playing a piano so I didn’t know how to teach my daughters. Though we are still in the early stages of learning, the girls have made great improvements. They are also having lots of fun!
If learning piano isn’t on your to-do list, eMedia Music also offers teaching products for guitar, bass, singing and more.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
