*I was provided with Zak mixing bowls. All opinions are my own.
In stores I’ve been seeing all kinds of decorative cups, plates, mixing bowls, decorations, etc for the 4th of July. They are always so bright and festive that they catch my eye. When I go to parties that are beautifully coordinated and decorated to any given theme, I always notice how great it looks. Having a beautifully decorated party with coordinating decorations and accessories can really change the feel of the party. Yet, I’m just too frugal to buy a dining set or serving set for every holiday that I can only use once a year.
So, I was thrilled to come across the Confetti Spirit Nested Bowls from Zak. I recognized the confetti style mixing bowls right away – growing up, my mom had a set of confetti mixing bowls. She got the set for her wedding and still owns them to this day! What I didn’t realize as a kid was that the confetti bowls are made from recycled plastic which is why they have the confetti look. Their confetti bowls come in tons of color varieties, but the Spirit bowls are red, white and blue so they are perfect for 4th of July, memorial day and other patriotic celebrations. Yet, they make great mixing bowls that I can use year-round. Each bowl has a small lip so when using them for mixing, it’s easy to get a grasp on the bowl to hold it into place.
The sizes are all really practical. Have you ever bought a set of dishes and then one size just feels off, so you never use it? That isn’t the case here! The largest bowl is great for mixing cake or other larger mixes in (or if used as a serving bowl, would be great for mashed potatoes or another large side dish). The second largest bowl would be great for serving mac & cheese, a fruit salad or mixing cookies or other medium-sized mixes. I’ve used the second smallest bowl for stirring pancake batter, and the smallest bowl for mixing omelets, and creating a “community bowl” for serving my niece and nephew fruit or veggies at lunch time.
Regardless of what you use the bowls for, they’re super easy to clean because they can be thrown in the dishwasher.
