*I was provided with items from NUK. All opinions are my own.
I have a large family. My dad had 7 children over a 23 year span. I am the youngest of the 7, so I have siblings who were adults before I was born. As a result, I have a niece and a nephew who are older than I am, and a few who are just a year or two younger than me as well. Now that I am 23, my nephew (who is 23 months younger than I am) is expecting a son this fall. I’m still adapting to the idea of being a great-aunt at 23 years old but I was eager to do some baby-gear shopping!
Having been an aunt before I was born, I’ve done a lot of baby shopping despite not yet having children of my own. I knew that NUK was a brand that several of my siblings were brand loyal to. NUK makes gift sets that include 3 bottles, 2 pacifiers and a pacifier clip. These are perfect baby shower or new baby gifts, so I was excited to get a set for my nephew. Our NUK gift set came in the Confetti Ducks design which I asked for before we knew that the baby was a boy. I thought that the colors (yellow, green, purple and light blue) and pattern (Ducks) would be fine for either gender so it’s great for cases where the parents don’t find out the gender ahead of time. Now that we know the baby is a boy, it’s still a great match. The set comes with two 5oz bottles that will be great early on and a 10oz bottle once he’s eating more, and the pacifiers are for age 0-6 months. The sets make a really great practical gift and at around $20 they’re affordable as well.
Kelsie with NUK bottle
Earlier I mentioned that some of my siblings were brand loyal to NUK with their babies. This was true for some of my siblings but in my sister’s case, it was her baby Kelsie who decided it was NUK or nothing. She refused all other types of pacifiers. From the day she was born, NUK pacifiers were the only ones that she wouldn’t spit back out. Now at 18 months, she is using pacifiers less and less, but I love that NUK makes a size 3 pacifier for 18-36 months while so many other brands stop at 12 or 18 months. We all know that tons of kids use pacifiers beyond 12 or 18 months, so it’s nice to have an option that is appropriately sized for toddlers’ mouths and teeth structures.
Kelsie with NUK pacifiers at about 5 months and 17 months.
NUK makes other products for toddlers as well. Kelsie was sent a learner cup to try out. It has big handles which makes it a great cup for babies to use when they first start trying out sippy cups because it’s easy to grab. It also has a soft spout that almost mimics a bottle nipple so the contrast between the cup and a bottle is less significant. Kelsie first used a NUK learner cup almost a year ago but now at 18 months they’re still a really convenient sippy cup option for her.

I’m sad to tell you that some sicko is trying to use your daughter’s picture for a pornagraphic role playing page on facebook.
