Badger Balm was started in the kitchen of Bill and Katie back in 1995. In a family effort, Badger Balm continues to be centered around creating the healthiest and safest products possible. Even the youngest member of the family, little Maya, comes to work as part of the Badger’s Babies at Work program. A team of over 40 works together to formulate, manufacture, and ship Badger Balm products. Truly, this is a family centered company that keeps other families health and well being in mind. They even treat their workers to free organic lunches every day as well as green initiatives, charitable giving practices, and more.
Our five senses are very important. I especially enjoy smelling the sweet scent of something yummy baking, the fresh cut smell of grass, and even the smell of a clean house since I’ll sometimes use essential oils when cleaning. So when I came across the Badger Balm Aromatherapy Line, I was interested in checking it out. I received the Stress Soother, Headache Soother, and Cheerful Mind Balm. All three are very useful for almost anyone but I find them especially great for us since we have five children, homeschool, and farm among other things.
The Stress Soother is geared to calm and soothe the mind with a mixture of tangerine, mint, rosemary, cedar, and chamomile. The Headache Soother has definitely come in handy some days! Made to cool and relax the mind, this blend of peppermint and lavender is a great tool to have on hand. Finally, the Cheerful Mind Balm is available to delight and uplift spirits. I’ve been using this sweet orange and spearmint blend on the kids when they get in a crabby rut. All three of these balms are easy to apply in their stick like form. They are all made to use by rubbing a thin layer onto wrists, forehead, temples, neck, or under the nose. Sometimes, I like to just open the cap and smell without applying. The kids really like these and even ask for them.
I also received their Argan Hair Oil for dry hair. This can be used as a daily leave in conditioner or as a moisturize and repair treatment. I blow dry my hair almost every single day. Some days, I even straighten after blow drying. So my hair has definitely been damaged from my daily routine. The Argan Hair Oil helps reestablish a healthy balance to hair and also protects from chemicals, heat, and UV damage. Since I subject my hair to heat daily, I’ve decided to use the Badger Balm Argan Hair Oil as a daily treatment and I’ve definitely seen some improvements. My hair has a slightly softer feel to it as well as slight shine. Word of warning: a little Argan Hair Oil goes a long way. I only use one pump on my slightly longer than shoulder length hair. Overall, I’m really liking this product and hope to continue to see more improvement the longer I use.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters.
