*I was sent Allet wallets for my review. All opinions are my own. I was compensated for a link in this post.
A few months ago I read about how many men carry thick wallets in their back pockets. This can cause them to sit unevenly and cause back pain and other issues. Ryan and most of the men in my family wear their wallets in their back pocket, so I thought that a thin Allet wallet would be great to throw into our ‘white elephant’ gift exchange for Christmas.
Allet has several men’s thin wallets to choose from, including four main categories. Each category has wallets in a variety of sizes to suit your needs. The four categories include original leather, SoftTech, EcoThin and KeepSafe. The original leather wallets are leather wallets that are designed to develop a patina instead of wearing out with use. The SoftTech line of wallets are made from a form of nylon that is almost weightless that is made in a cross-stitch pattern for extra durability. The EcoThin line of wallets are made from recycled plastic bottles in a cross-stitch pattern for durability and have the added bonus of being waterproof. The KeepSafe wallet line is great for anyone worried about keeping their identity protected. They have a hidden RFID blocking lining to protect you from identity and credit card theft. The men’s wallet selection at Allet ranges from $7.95 to $79.95 with most of their wallets falling in the $19-$40 range making them ideal for gift giving on a budget.
Allet also offers women’s wallets in two categories – classic leather and soft tech nylon. I had been using the same wallet for roughly five years and it was falling apart at the seams. I’ve also been trying to downgrade to a smaller purse but was unable to do so because of the bulky size of my old wallet. I knew that switching to an Allet thin wallet would give me more room in my purse but I was worried the transition would be tough.
My favorite color is purple so I decided to review the SoftTech Nylon Women’s Original Wallet which comes in plum, pebble brown, beryl blue or red. It can hold up to 24 cards and has a cash pocket with a divided recipe pocket. On the outside it has small zippered compartment that can fit a few coins in it. When the wallet arrived I sat down and I admit I had to decide what NOT to put into the new wallet because my old one was so big. Half of my old wallet was a coin compartment so the biggest change that I made was not carrying around a handful of coins. I rarely even pay with cash at all and when I do, I rarely give money. So I opted to just include a couple of dollars worth of quarters in my purse and added the rest of my change to a coin jar at home. I get a lot of gift cards from blogging and I often forget to use them up so I have way too many. So, the other change I had to make was getting rid of a few gift cards (seriously, nobody needs more than 24 cards in their wallet, right?). I realized that I have a zippered compartment in my purse so took out a few of the gift cards that are for stores I rarely go to. Getting the new wallet reminded me to use up some of the gift cards I had so I was able to get rid of a few and then add the others back in.
I’ve been using my Allet wallet for about a month now and I can honestly say that I really haven’t missed any of the junk I carried in my wallet before. I love how much more room I have to dig through my purse now. The wallet looks exactly like it did when it first arrived and I’ve gotten a few compliments on its bright color.
Could you use a thinner wallet? What is currently in your wallet that you should take out?

These look awesome. My husband is always complaining about his wallet, and when I get him a new one, he always thinks it’s too big. I bet he’d love one like these. 🙂
