Thank you to Summerland Family Fun Park for welcoming our family for a visit, free of charge, in exchange for this blog post. All opinions are 100% my own.
Summer is finally here and kids are off school. Now it’s time to have some fun! Whether living in Minnesota, heading here on vacation, or just passing through, I’ve found the destination just for you! Located in central Minnesota lies an awesome attraction that is fun for all ages. Come as a family, with friends, or even on a date because Summerland Family Fun Park has a variety of fun things to do and great things to eat.
Go-Karts & Kid Kountry Go-Karts
Summerland offers multiple options when it comes to Go-Karts. They have small ones available in Kid Kountry for ages 3 to about 8 and then they have regular ones for ages 8 and up on the big track. For the extra adventurous folks, they even have Indie Style Karts too! I absolutely love that they even have a few double riders so adults can take children, who can’t drive the big ones on their own, as a passenger. The tarred tracks are beautiful and loads of fun for all ages! The Kid Kountry course even offers a small little “hill” for added adventure!
Bumper Boats & Kid Kountry Bumper Boats
What’s more fun that zooming across the water to bump and splash friends and fellow Summerland guests? The Bumper Boats have always been a favorite of mine! I love that Summerland offers a nice size area with lots of Bumper Boats so big groups can go together. Plus, adults can have a rider on the big Bumper Boats.
The Kid Kountry Bumper Boats offer a pint size experience for the younger crowd. Our 3, 4, and 8 year old had a great time riding in this miniature version. The Mini Bumper Boats are battery operated and offer an extremely safe experience.
Miniature Golf ~ Bear Kountry Golf Course & The Lakes Adventure Golf Course
Everyone was really excited to head over to “The Lakes” Adventure Golf Course so we did that after a quick ride on the Go-Karts after arrival. The entrance offers a grand view of a beautiful waterfall as well as majestic statues of wild animals throughout. Filled with a variety of fun holes, we spent the better part of an hour playing this course. Up steps, around the fall, past beautiful flowers, and back to the final hole. It was quite an experience and definitely one of the nicest Mini Golf Courses I have seen!
The Bear Kountry Golf Course offers a slightly easier (or so we thought) golfing experience. Filled with fun facts at each hole, this course offers a variety of bear-like fun. We all enjoyed the scenery as much as the course as it’s definitely designed with family fun in mind.
Batting Cages
We made sure to try out the Batting Cages this year for the first time ever. Summerland offers a variety of options including: slow-pitch softball, fast-pitch softball, 50 mph baseball, and even a 60 mph baseball. We went with the slow pitch since we had a variety of ages playing. Our 8 year old son really enjoyed this experience as he’s become quite the baseball fan over the last couple years. While us girls didn’t quite bat as well as the boys, it was definitely an enjoyable experience.
Bounce House
Summerland also features a giant Bounce House for ages 3 to 10. It’s seriously the biggest one I’ve ever seen! Our youngest family members had a fantastic time bouncing around in here. It’s a self attended attraction so I love that the kids were able to bounce as long as they wanted without interruption.
Water Slide
Water makes a hot Summer day bearable and the Water Slide at Summerland is definitely a hit. Over the course of the 7 hours we spent at Summerland, at least 5 of those were probably spent on the slide! Our 3 year old loved it so much he just kept saying “again” every time he got down and only quit when he literally was so exhausted that couldn’t keep his eyes open any more! Since part of the day was overcast, I really enjoyed that the water was a little warm. Summerland even offers an all day wristband option for the waterside and I saw multiple families taking advantage of that option while we were there. All in all, I’d say the Water Slide would be voted our all-time favorite if we had to narrow it down to just one thing!
Picnic Shelters, Tables, & Benches
Thankfully, Summerland has plenty of benches, seating, and shade for visitors to sit and relax. There are two larger covered shelter areas with tables and chairs as well as others scattered throughout the park. Lots of great places to take a load off or sit down and enjoy a treat!
Arcade & Concessions
Speaking of treats, Summerland offers it all: including some delicious food, cold beverages, and snacks to round out a fun filled day. The pizza was delicious and we even snuck in a cold ice-cream treat before heading home for the day.
Not only does Summerland Family Fun Park offer everything mentioned above, they also have the cleanest facilities I’ve seen. Everything at the park, from attractions to seating areas, is well maintained and the landscaping is gorgeous. We arrived minutes after the park opened and there were workers aplenty cutting grass, blowing leaves, watering flowers, and putting the finishing touches on the park for the days visitors. Add in the fact that every single worker we encountered or observed was extremely friendly and helpful gives a truly all-around fantastic experience! Even the owner was hard at work looking over equipment, working on Go-Karts, and checking in with employees. Summerland is a well-run awesome central Minnesota attraction that is definitely a MN Must See!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

Well I’ve enjoyed the amusement park pics and stories here and plan on searching for your other posts on this topic to see what I missed. I found on another post that they had an amusement park in my home state of Ohio I had not been too, so I learned something fun! This is a must-stop for me when I visit Minnesota.
