Even before we decided that we were going to give homeschooling a try, I was busy finding ways to incorporate learning into our daughter’s days. I had heard that schools were expecting so much more from kids, even at the Kindergarden level that it would be highly beneficial to give her the best head start possible. So we got busy but it was time consuming searching for bits and pieces of curriculum type materials to use with her. So when I heard that the company Teach My had created kits that had everything in one box, I was really excited to learn more.

We decided to try out the Teach My Preschooler Deluxe Kit and Teach My Preschooler Time add on since we have two boys in that age range (one is 3 and the other is 4). Each day, we’re supposed to sit down and devote 20 minutes to this program. Kids have short attention spans and 20 minutes allows me to keep this fresh and fun each time we have a school session. The boys are especially loving the counting/100s chart. (I have to say it’s one of my favorites too!) They love the book that comes along, the circus train theme, and we try to make up songs to go with the counting chart.
The hands on manipulative are a huge hit with the different skills and I love how I can adapt what we do to each child. Overall, we really like this system and are excited to continue utilizing all that it offers.
