Loving pets puffsters pug

Loving Pets sent me dog treats for my review. All opinions are my own.

You don’t have to click around too much on any dog related forum to find a debate about dog food quality and various dog food brands. It’s really common for dog owners to be very passionate about what they do and don’t feed their dogs. I have done my share of research on dog food brands and there are certain dog food ingredients that I have avoided since I first got my dogs because I knew that certain ingredients being listed high up on your dog food ingredients list meant it was a low quality food. For some reason, I wasn’t as careful about what treats I gave my dogs for the first few weeks. To be honest, I think it just slipped my mind to even consider what was in the treats until a big recall was announced for some dog treats from a popular brand. That recall made me more conscious of the dog treats that I was buying and since then I’ve been much more selective.

I was recently sent some Loving Pets brand dog treats they are a good choice of dog treats for pet owners who are selective about their dog treats. With most dog food and treat recalls being linked to having ingredients sourced in other countries, it’s really common for pet owners to refuse to purchase dog food or treats that aren’t made and sourced in the US. Loving Pets products are made 100% in the US. They are also careful about choosing what ingredients go into their treats and the calorie levels of their treats.

Loving Pets Puffsters review

We were sent three varieties of Loving Pets Puffsters which are air-puffed crunchy dog treats that are just 6 calories per treat. The treats are about 1 inch in size (though it does vary a little of course) and there are about 50 treats per bag. They are available in four varieties – apple and chicken, banana and chicken, cranberry and chicken or sweet potato and chicken. These do not have a meaty smell at all but my dogs get quite excited about these treats. I like how they are so low in calorie that I don’t have to worry about them having a few treats per day. They are a bit stiff and crunchy sounding when my dogs eat them but they don’t have a hard time eating them despite being senior dogs. Puffsters are soy, gluten and corn free. Puffsters are not widely available quite yet, but keep an eye out for them in the coming months – my dogs liked them and you get a lot of treats per bag so I recommend giving them a try.

Loving pets waggles

We were also sent Loving Pets Waggles treats. These are made with 100% chicken skin. I was excited to try these with my dog Beans because she seems to prefer chicken based foods and treats over any other protein source, and sure enough she went nuts for them. The Waggles vary a lot in size and shape and are a tad greasy but not enough to leave marks on the carpet or furniture so I don’t mind. The chicken skins aren’t treated with preservatives and are free of corn, gluten and glycerin. Seems how they are just chicken skin they are a great option for dogs who might have allergies.
