Quarto Knows Children’s books were sent for my review. All opinions are my own.
Quarto Knows is a great place for find fun and educational books for all ages. If you like to encourage a love of reading by giving books to children for Christmas, definitely check out the Quarto Knows website. They really have something for everyone. Here are a few of my top picks:
First Wheels Colors is a great pick for babies or toddlers who are ready to learn colors and vehicles. Toddlers often go through a vehicle obsession and this book is a great way to combine that love with learning their colors.
Emergency vehicles Police Car is a book that I know both of my 5-year-old nephews will love. One is interested in all community helper type careers right now, so he’s all about playing firefighter, cop, teacher, etc. The other had a lot of questions about how police cars started and ended our local parade a few weeks back. He said he thought cops just took people to jail, so we’ve been talking about how many other things police do.
Mighty Machines monster trucks is a great book for kids interested in monster trucks or just vehicles in general. It has lots of great information about how monster trucks work making it very educational while also having lots of cool monster truck photos.
A Hole In The Road is a cute kids story about a road repair job. Here in Michigan our roads are constantly requiring repairs because of our dramatic weather changes across the seasons. This book is a great way to explain to children what happens during road construction or why you have to take all those detours in the summer to get to the grocery store.
Atlas Of Adventures is a book aimed at older kids, it’s 96 pages alltogether. The illustration style is pretty and intricate. The book is very informative about various parts of the world and is great for kids who are interested in traveling, other cultures, countries, etc.
As you can tell from the cover, One Thousand Things is a really pretty book with fun and whimsical illustrations. At over 80 pages this book has a LOT of content and discusses one thousand things. While being a big book, it doesn’t need to be read cover to cover so it’s suitable for a wide range of ages. You can almost think of this book as a visual encyclopedia for kids – it’s a great way to entertain curious kids.
Chalkboard 1-2-3 is a book with reusable chalkboard pages. It comes with a small package of chalk and has dotted letters inside so your child can trace between the dots to form letters. For a lot of children writing on paper over and over feels tedious and boring, but something about chalk makes it more fun. I like how this set combines chalk with cute monkeys and other designs to make it seem like ‘just fun’ instead of writing practice.

I really like the book Atlas Of Adventures. Even many adults are so clueless about other countries and with our wars, for example, it really helps to start young giving kids info. And love the reusable chalkboard pages of the book Chalkboard 1-2-3. So really great selections here.
