Keliwa sent me a muffin tray. All opinions are my own.
The women in my family who like to cook seem to use the same set of cookware for years on end. I can certainly understand growing attached to a favorite dish that works really well. I have a casserole dish that I would cry over if it were to break because I love it that much. However, I also can see the value in trying new cookware, especially when a new type comes out because you might like the new version even better.
Silicone bakeware has really been growing in popularity recently. I love the bright colors that it comes in, but I have to admit that it seems a little odd to put such a flexible material in your oven. I have some silicone spatulas that I love and I know they resist heat in my frying pan perfectly so I decided it was time to try silicone bakeaware as well.
Keliwa offers a 12 cup silicone cupcake/muffin tray that sells on Amazon for just $9.99. Silicone is a naturally non-stick material so you don’t have to purchase cupcake liners if you’re using a silicone pan. If you factor in the expense of making cupcakes and/or muffins several times using disposable cupcake liners you’ll realize that the silicone tray will pay for itself through savings in disposable liners!
Silicone is very flexible so you’ll need to place the silicone tray on a solid surface when putting them in your oven (I use a cookie tray). Silicone heats up quicker and more evenly than metals which is really convenient for baking. It also cools down much faster once you remove the tray from your oven. Plus, the material is very flexible so you can use that to your advantage when removing your cupcakes or muffins from the tray. The tray is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
Overall I am really happy with my silicone muffin tray from Keliwa. If you have a cook or baker on your list who hasn’t tried silicone yet this would make a great gift.

I’ve really wanted one of these, and just in the last year have collected a few silicone kitchen accessories, including the muffin cups. I don’t bake that much but with the holidays coming, I’d sure love to try it out. I love the bright colors too.

I have a mini muffin pan and I love it. I got a bundt cake pan years ago and had a terrible time getting it to be even all the way around, lol!
