The Young Scientists Club "The Magic School Bus Human Body Lab" Review

I remember when I was growing up, I couldn’t wait for the end of school year and the ushering in of Summer. It was a time for fun in the sun, trips to the parks and beach, and taking time to just relax.  Since I loved reading, I would devote most of my waking hours to reading as well.  Of course, there would also be a time and place for a little Mario Brothers head to head with my sister on the good ole’ Nintendo.  Now as a parent, I want my kids to have some of those great memories and experiences as I did growing up but I also want to encourage learning.  The great thing about Summer, though, is that I’m able to incorporate some great educational materials and field trips all-the-while the kids are oblivious to the fact that they are building on skills and learning so much.

One of the ways that I’ve found to focus on education is by utilizing some of the great products offered over at The Young Scientists Club.  This Summer, that includes The Magic School Bus Human Body Lab.  We really enjoy joining Ms. Frizzle on her exciting adventures and the kids were excited to explore the fascinating Human Body Lab with her help.  This bus shaped kit comes packed full of goodies including:

  • 17-Inch Plastic Human Skeleton (One of the activities that the kids get to assemble!)
  • Human Body Window Clings
  • Poster Activity
  • Sticker Sheet
  • Data Notebook To Record Observations Throughout The Experiments & Activities
  • 20 Experiment Cards
  • All Components Needed To Complete Experiments & Activities

My favorite thing about The Young Scientists Club is that they include, simplify, and organize all the pieces, instructions, and steps so that the kids and I can get right to work experimenting.  Check out just a few of the fun things we learned and experimented with!

I always liked the Magic School Bus. This kit does look very educational and will keep a child’s interest to learn.

  • That looks like a great kit for learning over the summer! My son participates in the library reading program and he completes a workbook. That hands-on kit looks like a nice addition to our routine.
