When Ryan started Nutrisystem the first week consisted of a plan called the Fast 5 kit. It included regular Nutrisystem entrees like he eats now. The main difference was instead of having snacks like he eats as part of his Nutrisystem plan now, they provided shakes.
People who are new to Nutrisystem now do the Turbo 10 instead of the Fast 5, but I believe the kits are fairly similar.
What Ryan liked about starting off with the Fast 5 was it showed him that shakes really can help him feel not hungry. Prior to that plan, he wouldn’t have really believed that a shake could be filling. So even if just for that benefit, he was thankful to start off with the kit. Plus, he really enjoyed the shakes that were included.
Ryan has continued to sometimes use (and enjoy) Nutrisystem shakes (called NutriCrush Shakes) so he was excited to hear that they came out with a new type of shake called TurboShakes. TurboShakes are available in Chocolate and Vanilla.
Each shake is 130 calories, has 15g of protein and 5g of fiber. They also include vitamins and minerals such as 20% of your daily vitamin a, c, and e. and 10% of your daily calcium, iron, vitamin D, vitamin D, and folid acid. So not only are these shakes packed with protein and fiber to keep you full, but you’re also getting some of the vitamins and minerals that your body needs.
Plus, Ryan really enjoys the taste of the shakes. They are made just like the old shakes. You combine 8 ounces of water 1/2 a cup of ice (about 4 ice cubes), the powder packet and then you simply shake well in a blender bottle.
We recently were at Walmart and saw that TurboShakes are available to purchase in the pharmacy area near other nutritional drinks.

As I was reading this, I was wishing they were available to the public that are not on the diet. Then I say they was available at Walmart. I am going to try them as a healthy snack for me to get extra protein. Thank you for the review.

Probiotics have helped me so much with my IBS. Besides the pills, I’ve tried the powder chew form, and now I’m trying a liquid form. This is great to have all in the shake so you don’t have to add it.

These sound like great protein shakes, I love that they have probiotics! My husband is big on working out and drinks protein shakes that have 40g of protein in them! This is too much for me obviously, so I usually buy Special K or Boost for when I need it. I will definitely check these out the next time I go to Walmart though, it’s so cool that they sell them! 🙂
