I was sent dried & true handcrafted beef jerky to review. All opinions are my own.
Dried and True is an all natural beef jerky manufacturer that offers their jerky in monthly subscription boxes. They aren’t just any old jerky brand, they focus on creating a high quality product. Dried and True jerky is handcrafted and is made in small batches. The jerky is not treated with any preservatives, nitrates or high fructose corn syrup. Plus, it’s made in Los Angeles so you can feel great about supporting a US business.
Dried And True has three jerky varieties – original, ginger teriyaki and chili limon.
I love beef jerky, and I’ve mentioned before that it’s one of my all-time favorite foods. From picking up new varieties I see at the store, to reviewing jerky here on my blog, I have tried a lot of varieties in the past. Through trying so many varieties, I’ve learned there is a wide variety of flavor, texture and tenderness between different styles of beef jerky. Something that is interesting to me is seeing how some brands favor sweet over savory, and how the texture and moistness varies from brand to brand. I like more savory jerky, at least when going with an original, spicy or pepper variation. I was sent a box of all original Dried and True jerky seems how flavored jerky isn’t my style. The original jerky from Dried & True is much more savory than sweet, just like I had hoped. The strips are small, thin and fairly dry but not too tough to chew. I actually prefer the more dry jerky like this, as most moist jerky tends to be sweet for some reason.
The subscription boxes are offered in 3-bags per month or 6-bags per month sizes. The 3 bags a month box is $25, while the 6 bags a month box is $45. All subscription services include free shipping, too! You can customize your box to include a variety of flavors or to focus on your favorite flavor.
Win it: A 3-bag variety Tried And True jerky subscription box! It will include one bag of original, one bag of ginger teriyaki, and one bag of chili limon. giveaway is open to the US & Canada and will end 9/18/2016 at 11:59pm Eastern.
