Whether staying on site, heading out for a date night, or just a fun night on the town with friends, the FireLake Grill at Radisson Blu MOA offers an amazing selection of delectable foods and beverages to enjoy.
Sending a big thank you to Radisson Blu for partnering for this review!
To start, one very unique twist that I was intrigued to learn is that honey bees are abuzz at the Radisson Blu Mall of America. This amazing hotel roof actually became the first in the Twin Cities to call home to two of the University of Minnesota’s honey bee colonies! Each colony has started with about 10,000 honey bees and can grow to about 40,000 or 50,000. You may ask what that has to do with the FireLake Grill, right?
Well, after just one year, these colonies start to produce a surplus of honey which is now incorporated right into FireLake Grill House + Cocktail Bar’s dining menu! By using delicious, locally sourced honey and other ingredients, the heart of the menu is filled with local flavor and spunk. Radisson Blu’s commitment to the environment and sustainable programs runs deep and being the first LEED certified hotel is just one way they strive to do, offer, and be the best.
Now, on to the food! Our family chose to dine in the FireLake Grill House for supper on the night of our arrival. The menu looked amazing and it was truly a tough choice but we ordered the following:
Mushroom Gnudi w/Salmon ($19)
Eichten’s Mac & Cheese ($11)
Chicken & Minnesota Wild Rice Soup (Side That We Ordered Instead Of A Kids Meal For Our 2 Year Old)
Batter Dipped Fish & Chips (Kids Menu Choice)
Simple Cheese Pizza (Kids Menu Choice)
Chicken Fingers & Tots (Kids Menu Choice)
Spaghetti (This was specially made as our 4 year old thought the title for the kids mac ‘n cheese was actually spaghetti. So they whipped him up some without hesitation even though I insisted they needn’t go out of their way as he could choose something else.)
First off, I need to give a huge shout out to how child friendly the FireLake Restaurant was. Not only did they have the typical kids crayons and activity sheet, they had LEGOS too! The boys were especially stoked about that and the one kiddo continued to build quietly throughout the entire meal. But the second and big thing I loved was the fact that they know kids. Do you see that nice bowl of ketchup!?! Typically, if dining out, we have to make several requests for additional ketchup (because that’s clearly a food group in our family…) but the FireLake Grill House had enough to satisfy from the start! The kids’ meal also came with apple slices, a beverage, and a cookie for dessert.
We had a fantastic time, enjoyed great service, and everyone left stuffed!
While we didn’t spend any time in the Cocktail Bar since we had our kiddos along on this trip, it would make a fantastic place to unwind after a long day or enjoy a great date night out.
So where is your favorite place to head for a night out?

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
