Growing up, my sister and I spent a lot of our spare time with puzzles.  It was a great way to pass the time and we truly had a lot of fun doing them.  It’s a known fact that puzzles are great for the brain and I’m typically on board with anything that encourages thinking, hands on fun, and no screens.  Janod offers a wonderful variety of puzzles that are intriguing and, today, I want to share five of their award winning tactile puzzles with you as they’d be a great addition to the Easter Baskets this year.

Sending a big thank you to Janod for these awesome puzzles!

“LIFE ON THE ICE”

Living life on the ice has never been more fun than with Janod’s Life On The Ice menagerie of animals, icebergs, Eskimos, fishing, and fun.  Kids will enjoy seeing this icy scene come together while experiencing the whale’s shiny tale, a fish’s silvery scales, the moose’s furry hide, and more.  This giant 20 piece puzzle measures in at a fully assembled size of 25.6″ x 19.7″ and is geared for kids ages 3-6 years.

“ZOO ANIMALS”

The 6 piece Zoo Animals Tactile Puzzle offers a bit of surprise as children find fun, furry, and bumpy textures under each puzzle piece.  The best part is, these zoo animals won’t bite and kids don’t even have to leave the house to visit them.  The square wooden puzzle frame measures in at 11.75″ and each puzzle piece has a wooden grab knob.  Simple, colorful, and fun, this puzzle is recommended for children 18-36 months.

“MY FIRST ANIMALS”

This solid puzzle features four familiar animals that kids love and often times even have as pets: bunny, puppy, kitten, and chick.  Each piece features an easy to grab wooden peg and encourages kids to explore the various coats of each pet by looking under each puzzle piece.  Perfect for working on motor skills and imagination, this My First Animals Tactile Puzzle is geared for children ages 12-36 months.

“FARM ANIMALS”

Another great choice is the Giant Farm Animals Tactile Puzzle.  Head on down to the farm and enjoy this 20 piece set that provides the opportunity to feel seven different textures through a variety of ways.  Choose to pet a soft cow, feel a leathery pig, rub a frog’s nose, and more.  Geared for ages 3-6, kids will love to get up close with these familiar animals.

“A DAY AT THE ZOO”

Kids love visiting the zoo and it’s easy to see why.  The A Day At The Zoo preschool puzzle is a fun conversation starter as you can discuss the animals, habitats, and fun facts with kids as you assemble this 20 piece puzzle together with your child.  Kids will enjoy getting the chance to touch the monkey, tiger, koala, flamingo, and more.  With a full measurement of 25.5″ X 19.5″, particular puzzle is also geared for ages 3-6 years.

I really have always loved puzzles like this. I like the little ‘handles’ to make it easier for small hands and the thicker and bigger pieces. I love how it is animals and bright and cheery. Lovely puzzles.
