Thank you to Fox Chapel Publishing for sending product in exchange for my honest opinion.

Adult coloring books are a hot new trend. I like to think I had a head start on this trend, because when I was in college ten years ago, my roommate and I would color in children’s coloring books when we felt stressed. Recently I’ve been hearing more and more about adult coloring books, but I had not tried them until I got a chance to partner with Fox Chapel Publishing and Suzy Toronto for this review.

Suzy Toronto has a series of a beautiful coloring books geared to women and girls. I received the: Friendship Coloring Book, Sisterhood Coloring Book, Inspiration & Encouragement Coloring Book, and Light & Laughter Coloring Book. Her newest Tingle Boots Coloring Book also looks wonderful. As you can see above the books come in two sizes, a smaller size that would be great for traveling and a larger size.

Last weekend I had a girls weekend with friends from college. I brought the books along and we had a great time chatting and coloring. It was an awesome stress reliever. Two of us used colored pencils and one used fine tipped markers. Both worked equally well to color. Many of the graphics are very precise and small so you want to use art supplies that have a very fine tip.

I am also planning to bring these to work to give pages to patients when they are suffering from anxiety and need to calm themselves down. Coloring can be extremely soothing. Any of these books would make a great birthday, thinking of you, get well soon or just because gift. The smaller books would also fit especially nice in an Easter basket.

Our finished pieces of art from the girls weekend are below. It took us a couple hours to complete them while chatting. These books were definitely much more intricate than the pictures we colored in college. We all loved flipping through the books and looking at the designs and sayings. Some inspirational, some humorous, there are pages to please everyone.

Toronto also advocates on behalf of breast cancer survivors. Some of her product proceeds benefit cancer research. Ultimately, Toronto’s goal is to continue empowering women. “We believe in women. We uplift women. We empower women. And we support women whenever and however we can,” she says.
