I tend to struggle with finding gift ideas for the men in my life. My father is in his 70’s now and while he’s fairly active given his age, he lives a fairly simple life. He’s never been one to collect things or to have a hobby that required regular purchases. It makes getting gifts for him a little tough because he just doesn’t want much! One thing that I like to turn to for him is gourmet foods or snack gift baskets. Everyone enjoys tasty food, right?
Gourmet Gift Baskets
My dad has been a fan of meat and cheese snacks so when browsing the Father’s Day Gift Baskets section of Gourmet Gift Baskets the Gourmet Meat & Cheese Sampler – Deluxe stood out to me. This basket comes with an assortment of artisan meats, cheeses and crackers. It has two meats, summer sausage and a pepperoni. For cheese it offers monterey jack jalapeno cheese, savory garlic cheddar cheese, spicy cheddar & veggie cheese, plus ultra sharp cheddar cheese – that’s four types of cheese! And there are four types of crackers, but one of the types has two boxes included. Everything comes in a reusable basket. With my dad being a more simple person, I like how each type of cheese was still easy for us to recognize. I know that he will enjoy this basket because he’s had similar items before.
I also chose the Wine Party Picnic. It’s slightly similar in that it features summer sausage, cheese and crackers but it also includes two wines. One is a Cabernet Sauvignon, while the other is a golden-hued Chardonnay. This whole basket is designed to be perfect for a picnic. If you are looking for a father’s day gift for your husband that will allow the two of you to get away and celebrate him on a date or a night off from the kids, this would be perfect. It comes in a cute fabric-lined wire basket which is reusable as well. I haven’t figured out what I am going to do with it quite yet but it’s cute!

I think gift baskets like these are a great gift idea for Dads for Fathers Day. There are so many different kinds and they are made to fit many different interests. I know my hubby would love one!
