Thank you to Kidstir for providing me with products in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

My daughters love being in the kitchen. They often ask my husband or me, if they can bake or help make a meal. We try to let them do as much as possible to help us out or to let them completely prepare the meal. It is fun watching them use their creativity to come up with new dishes. Often, they are braver than I when it comes to flavor combinations.

A couple of months ago, I heard about a company called Kidstir. Kidstir offers budding chefs monthly hands-on cooking/baking kits. Each kit includes directions on how to create three different dishes. The kits come with recipe cards and a kitchen tool or two. Kids will have fun building a collection of tools that fit their small hands and recipes to go in their own cookbooks.

For our review, my daughters each received a Kitstir kit. Savannah received Amazing Appetizers and Cheyenne the Hello Breakfast kit. We were also sent a Kidstir Cookbook binder.

I asked both girls to write me a paragraph telling me what they thought about Kidstir kits. Here is what they had to say:

“Who says it’s just adults that can cook? When I got my Amazing Appetizers Kidstir kit, I was so excited! I love cooking and all of the recipes looked yummy! The first thing I made was the crostini. I used salmon spread and arugula on my toasted bread slices and my family loved them! The recipes are fun, fast, and delicious. Next, I want to try the cauliflower crunchies!” Savannah, 10 years old

“With my Hello Breakfast Kidstir kit, I made the fruit parfait strawberry sundaes! My favorite part about them is that they are delicious. I think fruit, yogurt, and whipped cream go great together! It’s really cool how you guys come up with doing Kidstir! Thank you for letting us try them.” Cheyenne, 8 years old

As a mom, I appreciate that Kidstir kits not only teach kids different cooking/baking techniques but that they also help create a healthy relationship between kids and nutrition. It can be difficult to teach kids how to choose nutritious foods over junk food. Having them help prepare a healthy meal makes them more likely to try eating it. Kidstir kits perfectly combine fun and education.

We strongly suggest Kidstir kits!

I love it when they cook…. they eat better because they had a part of doing it. I will be ordering a kit.

This is really cute! I love how the recipes aren’t just dumbed down, but real, nice looking recipes that even kids can make.
