Thank you to Hampton by Hilton for providing me with a complimentary stay in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

In May, my family took a trip from Oregon to Maryland. The sole purpose of our trip was to visit with my husband’s extended family. His grandmother turned 94 in March. The last time we were able to spend time with her (and the rest of our east coast family) was for her 90th birthday when we made the same trip.

When we started planning this trip, we had a lot of variables to work out what days worked best for everyone, what flights would we take, what size rental car would we need, planning our agenda and so on…. The only thing that was a given was what hotel we would stay in. We would be staying at the Hampton by Hilton in Frederick Maryland. This is the same hotel we staying in during our trip four years earlier. We absolutely LOVE this hotel and knew we needed to make reservations there again.

The Hampton Inn is not just a place to rest your head. With so many amenities offered, staying at The Hampton Inn is a special experience in and of itself! As soon as you walk in the front lobby, you are greeted by a team of helpful staff members. They are ready to check you in and make sure you have everything needed for a comfortable stay.

As you look around the lobby, you will find several things a refreshment station set up with water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and if you are lucky, freshly baked cookies…they go fast though! Our hotel also had a Suite Shop stocked with toiletries, sewing kits, medicine, snacks, and beverages. The Suite Shop made it convenient to grab anything you forgot or hadn’t anticipated needing. Off to the left of the front lobby doors, you will find a business center and several conference rooms. If you need to conduct business while staying at Hampton, you have multiple options to fit your needs. To the right of the front desk, there was the entrance to the hotel gym. This gym had it all….yoga/Pilates equipment, ellipticals, treadmills, and exercise bikes.  Just because you are away from home, doesn’t mean you should skip out on your workouts! In the back of the lobby, our hotel had a dining room and kitchen. In the kitchen, they offer guest a full breakfast. Guest can enjoy fresh fruit, baked goods, waffle bar, beverage station and an assortment of breakfast foods. Each day, we had a different menu of delicious foods to enjoy.

Past the back of the lobby, our hotel had an outdoor dining area, swimming pool, and The Beacon. The Beacon is a fun restaurant that offers guests American cuisine with local flair. They also serve specialty drinks and l local microbrews.

Upstairs in your room, you will also notice that The Hampton Inn has gone above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. My husband and I shared our room with our two daughters. We had two extremely comfortable queen beds. The room had a desk, mini refrigerator, and a TV. We didn’t spend a lot of time in our room but were quite comfortable when we were there. The room was immaculate and the staff made sure we had everything we needed.

The Hampton Inn hotel is wonderful, but what really makes it special is the staff. There were a few nights when my daughters had missed out on the cookies, the front desk staff saw the disappointment in their face and offered to let them choose a treat free of charge from the Suite Shop. So thoughtful! During out stay, we became close with one of the women that worked in the kitchen area. Every time we saw her, she had a huge smile on her face. She too, went out of her way to make the stay special for us. AND as if that weren’t enough, the staff took note that my daughters were disappointed that the swimming pool hadn’t yet opened for the season. Do you know what they did? They arranged to have the pool opened early so that my daughters could swim. Isn’t that amazing?! We REALLY appreciated everything they did for us!

We have begun talking about taking this trip again next year. Grandma would like to have everyone come together for her 95th birthday. Can you guess where we will be staying? Hampton by Hilton is our home away from home!

I agree, Hampton by Hilton is a great place to stay! I haven’t been to the particular one you stayed at, but I have been to one and really enjoyed my stay. I too love that their staff is so amazing, this is such a big factor when staying in a hotel.
