I am a Nutrisystem Nation blogger. I am provided with a Nutrisystem meal plan in return for sharing regular updates. All opinions are my own.
I recently shared how Ryan figured out that he can make chocolate granola within the Nutrisystem meal plan. Our next Nutrisystem order arrived with vanilla flavored Turbo Shakes in it for the first time in many months. As soon as he saw the vanilla shake mix, he thought about how he could use it in his granola cereal as well, as an alternative for milk.
The Turbo Shakes are the equivalent of 1 PowerFuel, and makes 8oz which is far too much “milk” to use with the small bag of granola cereal so he just pours a little and drinks the rest. He says it’s a nice alternative to milk because it’s thicker and more sweet. He also really enjoys the shake by itself, so it’s nice that it doesn’t take up the whole shake, either so he has some left to just drink.
So far he has only tried these with the granola cereals but my guess is that either way (vanilla or chocolate shake) would also taste good as an alternative to milk with the Nutriflakes cereal or the Sweetened-o’s cereal.
There really can be a lot of ways to get creative when pairing entrees with PowerFuels and/or SmartCarbs on Nutrisystem. I like checking the Nutrisystem leaf blog for fresh ideas.

Very smart idea for breakast and I bet it’s more filling!

That is great. I do something similar in regular life. I can’t have milk. So I add a little French Vanilla non-dairy creamer and cold water to my cereal. It works like a charm to be sweet milk. I am glad Ryan found a good way to use his shake with his cereal.

This would be a great way to make his breakfast a bit less boring. It would be a nice variety and also add a bit more protein. I could see doing this with granola just to change the flavor.
I had no idea that Nutrisystem made cereal! I love your twist using protein, that is awesome and so healthy. 5 bet it tastes great too, thanks for sharing! 🙂
