I love my shower time. It’s the time I allocate to myself each day, or every other day, to just relax, and meditate. One thing many people do not realize is how easy it is to enhance your shower experience. You can take your shower from an ordinary shower to a spa-like shower in just a few minutes with a quick change of showerhead.

Speakman is a company that makes great showerheads. They’ve been around for 145 years, and are a well known brand in many hotel chains. They also provide showerheads to every day people.

I received the Rain Showerhead, S-2759, from Speakman to review. Rain showerheads are incredibly popular right now. They not only feel great, but tend to have really good water pressure, and feel good on your skin. They’re not too powerful of a stream, yet not too weak.

I was quite surprised when I saw just how big the Speakman Rain Showerhead is. Here is the showerhead right out of the box:

The Speakman Rain Showerhead has a 9″ diameter, and as you can see easily in the photo, it has 12 spray nozzles in a star shape. Each nozzle has 8 streams that come from it, producing 96 streams altogether.

Installing the showerhead is quite simple. It literally took only a few minutes for my fiance to uninstall our old showerhead, and install the new one. If the threads fit right (which most should), then you simply screw the old off, and the new in. White teflon tape can be used to get an extra tight seal.

This showerhead has excellent water pressure. We’ve used other rain showerheads in the past, and have been known to remove the water regulator from them. (Shh, don’t tell ;)) That was completely unnecessary with this showerhead. The water pressure was great. The showerhead felt great on my skin, and it left me feeling far cleaner than I’ve felt in a long time. You don’t have to worry about feeling any soap, shampoo or conditioner residue with a good showerhead like this one.

I also liked that the showerhead doesn’t leak after turning off the water. I had thought this was a problem with my pipes, as previously, whenever I turned off the water, the showerhead would drip for quite some time afterward. I have not had that problem since installing this showerhead. When I turn off the water, the water immediately turns off, no drips minutes, or even hours later.

It is also quite nice that this showerhead is made of brass. That makes it very easy to clean (it’s recommended to use vinegar distilled with water, and soak it), and means the showerhead will harbor far less bacteria than a plastic showerhead.

I would definitely recommend this showerhead to anyone looking to enhance their shower experience. It’s a great, easy upgrade, one you can do in only a few minutes, and it really does make a huge difference. It’s something that can be done whether you’re in an apartment, or a home, and it transforms any normal shower into a pleasant spa experience that you can enjoy each and every day.
