You’ve probably heard of Adam Carolla, famous comedian, and radio personality. He has a podcast radio show, The Adam Carolla show, which is extremely popular, especially among men. Well, now he has a sangria line, targeted specifically for men. Sangria is a sweet fruity drink made from red wine, oranges, and other ingredients. It’s typically seen as something mostly women drink, but Mangria is sangria just for men!

I received the Signature Mangria, and the White Peach & Pear Mangria to review:

I had my fiancé try the Mangria since they’re targeted for men, but I also tried them as well.

My fiancé really liked the Signature Mangria. I found it to be a little too strong for my taste. It was a nice sangria flavor, like a sweet red wine with a strong orange flavor as well as plum, cherry, and blackberry. It’s 20.9% alcohol by volume, so it has a pretty strong kick, too strong for me, but my fiancé really enjoyed it.

Here’s a glass of the Signature Mangria:

We both really liked the White Peach-Pear Mangria:

The White Peach-Pear Mangria didn’t taste quite as strong to me, with its slightly lower alcohol content, so I liked it better. It has a really pleasant flavor. You could really taste the peach and pear notes to the white wine. It was sweet, delicious, and smooth. My fiancé also really liked this flavor as well.

Both Mangrias are best served cold. The website recommends serving them over ice, which I did not do, but it was great right out of the fridge.

A benefit to the Mangria is that it’s fairly low in calories compared to other drinks. A serving of Mangria is only 130 calories, which is about half the calories in a microbrew.

Overall, my fiancé really liked the Mangria. And even though it’s targeted for men, I liked it as well. I really enjoyed the White Peach-Pear Mangria. Each bottle is only $19.95 and is definitely worth the price. If you like sangria, or sweet wines, you should check out Adam Carolla’s Mangria.

Buy it: You can buy the Mangrias seen here on the Mangria Website

Wow, they sound delicious, and I really love the packaging. They look like they woukd make a great gift. The fact that there is a higher alcohol content is smart as well, since men are generally bigger and take more alcohol to get a buzz. Definitely going to try this!

I really like that point. I hadn’t thought of it before, but it definitely makes sense for it to have a higher alcohol content for that reason. And it really would make a great gift!

  • The white peach-pear sounds really good! I do better with white wine than red for some reason. Red gives me a headache sometimes.

That’s actually pretty common. Red wine has more histamines, tannins than white wine. So lots of people get headaches from red wine, but not white wine. Or some people get reactions to red wine, like it can make skin conditions worse, etc. That’s why it’s great that they have both a white and a red sangria. I’d never heard of white sangria before doing this review.

  • Ooh those sound pretty yummy! I need to try the White Peach-Pear Mangria, sounds like something I’d really like!

  • Those look yummy! I’m confused as to why it’s primarily for men?

    • Micaela

The line is simply targeted for men. Sangria is typically considered a drink mostly women drink. Some men might even be embarrassed to drink Sangria, as it’s a fruity mixed-wine drink. This Sangria is targeted for men, hence the “Mangria” name. It has more male-targeted, or gender neutral labeling, etc. But it’s definitely something both men and women can enjoy 🙂

  • I would really love to try the Mangria, that sounds more my speed!

Adam also recommends mixing the red with the white to make what he calls aBROse lol
