darn tough logoI am extremely picky about socks. Well, that’s because I didn’t know where to get good socks until I had to opportunity to work with Darn Tough Vermont.

darn tough socksFor this review, I received 2 pairs of socks: a pair of 1/4 Light Cushion Socks from the Run/Bike Series and a pair of Honeysuckle Light Socks from the Lifestyle Series.

The 1/4 Light Cushion Socks are specifically designed with a cushion at the bottom of the foot for maximum comfort and arch support. They have reinforced heels and toes for more durability. They hug my feet gently and the cushion really makes a big different in terms of comfort. It’s less bulky than other biking/running socks I’ve tried yet it supports and cushions my feet very well.

darn tough lifestyleThe Lifestyle Series is full of vibrant colors and fun prints such as stripes, polka dots, and floral designs. The pair I received has blue and orange stripes with … . This pair of socks is lighter than the Run/Bike socks and I basically forget that I am wearing them. They fit well around my lower calf and stay in place well: no tight marks around my legs nor bunching around my ankles.

All socks are seamless which means less friction, less blisters, and more durability. The two pairs that I received are made with a blend of merino wool, nylon, and Lycra. Merino is well known for its distinctive properties: breathable, itch free, comfortable, antimicrobial, able to naturally regulate temperatures.  Darn Tough wool is shrink treated so your socks won’t shrink in the wash. The high density knitting technique means that the socks are very durable despite being thin. If Merino wool isn’t for you, Darn Tough Vermont also offers a Coolmax blend which offers optimal moisture management.
