I have exciting news that a lot of people don’t know about yet…I am expecting my 2nd baby!! I was a little shocked at first, but my husband and I are very excited. Little C can’t wait. He wants a little brother of course, but he says he will be fine with a sister! Little C will be 5 years old in August, so by the time this new little bundle of joy is born quite a few years will have passed since I had a newborn. With that said, some of my stuff has either been broken, sold or given away so I was pretty excited when I was asked to review the Philips AVENT Comfort Breast Pump and Natural Bottle.
Considering I am expecting I wasn’t actually able to use the breast pump or bottle, but I have been able to do some research about this product. As a mom to be I am very excited about this breast pump. I had a breast pump when I had Little C, but it was not very comfortable and really quite a hassle. It was a hand pump so that might have been part of the reason that I felt like it was a bit of a hassle. However, the Phillips AVENT Comfort Breast Pump that I received is electric. I am really looking forward to using this!!!
A few facts about the Philips AVENT Comfort Breast Pump:
- Designed to allow women to pump in a reclined position, eliminating the need to lean forward.
- Innovative massage cushion and soft silicone petals feel warm and gently stimulate letdown and milk flow. (The inner cushion is designed to fit the majority of women comfortably, however a larger size cushion is sold separately)
- Compact, lightweight design makes pumping easier and more discreet-especially for working mothers
- Fits all Philips AVENT bottles and storage containers
- Available in manual and electric (single and double)
I received the single electric model. The breast pump is actually quite small, which I loved. You can also either use batteries or plug the machine in. When you turn it on, it really isn’t that loud. I put the pump up against my hand to see if I could feel the suction and sure enough I could. When you turn the pump on it automatically starts up in the stimulation mode. There are 3 other suction levels, so if you prefer something other then the stimulation mode you can choose from slow, medium or high. I love that you have choices. The mode that you have chosen lights up along with the power button when the pump in on. I have to say that I look forward to using this breast pump and I think any mom to be would love to receive this as a baby shower gift if she plans on breast feeding.
For review I also received a 4 oz. Philips AVENT Natural Bottle. To be very honest with you, Little C had a really hard time with bottles. He just didn’t like them, although he had some health issues that I believe contributed to the problem. I love the look of the natural bottle and hope that my new baby likes it as well.
A few facts about the Philips AVENT Natural Bottle:
- Wide ‘breast-like’ shape makes it easy to latch-on
- Unique comfort petals inside nipple increase softness and flexibility without collapse
- Extra soft, flexible nipple mimics mom’s real breast
- Advance anti-colic system with innovative twin valve allows air into the bottle-not baby’s tummy
- Available in glass, as well as polypropylene, a BPA free material
- Ergonomic shape makes it easy to hold in any direction-even in tiny hands
- Interchangeable with most Phillips AVENT feeding products
- Fewer parts make is simple to use and easy to clean
I did not use AVENT bottle with Little C, but I really wish I had tried them. I think he really would have liked it. I am super excited to try Philips AVENT Natural Bottles with my new baby, although it will be a while before I get the opportunity.
Just remember if you are an expectant mom or know a mom to be make sure you check into Philips AVENT Comfort Breast Pump and Natural Bottles. I don’t think you will be disappointed. You can also check them out on Facebook.

That seems like a fantastic pump! I like that it has a stimulation level and that it’s not loud. My pump (3 years ago) was so loud, I hated using it. Everyone in the house knew what mommy was doing. 🙁 And I didn’t feel like I could pump while baby slept because it would wake her up. Sort of defeated the purpose.
