You might remember my clog boots review from last September. It was my first time wearing clogs and really liked them. This Spring, I had the opportunity to review another great pair of clogs from the same company. The only thing that changed is the company’s name: it used to be called Ugglebo but it is now called Sandgrens. Same great looks, same high quality, same cute owl logo!
In case you didn’t get a chance to read my previous review, let me tell you a bit more about Sandgrens. It is a Swedish clog company that combines tradition and high-fashion to create unique clogs. Even in today’s world, their shoes and boots are still handmade, with real wooden bases and high-quality leather.
The clogs comes in many different styles from shoes to sandals and boots. Some are very classic, other have a definite modern twist. There are also tons of colors to choose from and some very unique prints. Here is a small sample of the clogs Sandgrens makes.
Did you know that Sandgrens also offers clogs for men and kids? I just recently found out about it and I have to say, the girls’ clogs are just too cute!
For this review, I received a pair of Bali High in Stone. They are high heel sandals (the heel is 3.9” high) with a Spanish Pine wood base. It comes in Yellow, Red, Marina, and Stone. I chose stone because it’s a more neutral color so it’ll be a very versatile pair of shoes.
It’s a peep toe style sandal which I absolutely love because I find it very elegant and sexy. The 2 pieces of suede leather cross on top of the foot and leave openings at the toes and on the sides as well. Each piece is stapled in place and you can see the staples along the edge of the clog. You can also see the famous owl logo on the outer side of the clogs.
If you’ve never tried a clog from Sandgrens, you’re probably asking yourself: are they comfortable?
Let me reassure you, they are very comfortable. They are not as heavy as you might think because Spanish pine is quite light. Plus, you get the added bonus of the natural grain along the heel and base. There is a layer of rubber glued under the heel and the toes making it non-slippery. The rubber also means that the clogs don’t make a racket when you walk.
The fact that the soles don’t flex like typical shoes means that you’ll need to slightly adjust your step. I find I just need to change my stride a little so my heel-toe movement remains smooth. I looked clumsy for about 15 seconds and that was it.
I really love my Bali High clogs. This style of sandals looks equally good with a skirt, skinny jeans, leggings, even a formal dress. It stands out (in a good way!) because it’s a clog but the design makes it very versatile and modern looking. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so I can finally wear them on a night out with friends, a family barbecue, or a romantic dinner in a nice restaurant!
Head over to Sandgrens to see for yourself all the trendy wooden clogs they offer. Don’t forget to like them on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news and promotions (they created new accounts when they changed their company’s name so it’s important to visit their new pages).

I LOVE these shoes. I need a pair for a trip I am taking and will definitely be checking these out. I had shoes like this in the 80’s! Comfy and cute! 🙂

Those are just super cute! I used to wear clogs every day in high school. You’re making me miss them!

I’ve ordered a pair and I tried them on for maybe 5 minutes in the house. I must have stepped in something that stock on the soles. I returned the shoes because I did not like how they fit. I was emailed that the shoes cannot be returned because of several issues with it assuming that I have worn them. I have only tried them on inside the house for maybe 5 minutes.
I am very disappointed.
Oh I have to check them out. Loving some of the shoes. Thanks for sharing.
