The Baker family really knew what they were doing with they launched Bakers’ Southern Tradition Peanuts. This family based operation uses only the best Virginia peanuts and they grow them on their own farm. Unlike other “nuts”, a peanut is actually grown underground and is a legume (an edible seed) belonging to the same family as a bean or pea or other “pod”.
Peanuts are a good source of protein and they have other nutrients such as potassium, niacin, Vitamin E, calcium, iron just to mention a few. Not only are peanuts enjoyed as a snack but they are also used for their oil which is a healthy alternative to other cooking oils due to its “good” fat content and ability to withstand high temperatures.
…and what could be better than the old reliable peanut butter sandwich when no other snack will do.
In addition to growing their own peanuts, the Baker Family also uses those peanuts to produce a wide variety of snacks and candies.
For our review, we received the Bakers Southern Tradition Peanuts Gourmet Peanuts in two Sportsman Tins which was perfect because we plan to gift the tins to the Dads in our family. These tins were full of Lightly salted and Redskin peanuts. Both nuts were delicious!
The nuts are definitely going to be a huge hit with the Dads AND long after the nuts are gone, the Sportsman tins are destined to be treasured and kept in the family for many uses in addition to holding snacks. I can imagine my Step-Father using his to store his many decks of cards in.
Bakers Southern Tradition Peanuts has a wide variety of products (including soup mixes!) that are very appropriate for just about any situation whether it’s a family gift, corporate, wedding or house warming gift. The options are endless.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

I collect tins so love to see these. I’m a natural peanut lover too so would love this product. My elderly dad would love it too and it would make a great birthday present for him.
