As people are becoming more aware of the food they eat, and what’s in it, people are also becoming more aware of the food their pets eat. Unfortunately, a lot of pet food is made with unhealthy, poor quality ingredients, and this is especially true with dog treats. Lots of dogs treats are the equivalent of junk food. I have a miniature pinscher/pomeranian mix that I adore, and I try to make sure that her food and treats are actually healthy, and do not contain any unhealthy additives, or unnecessary ingredients. So when I heard about DOGSWELL Jerky Bars, an all-natural healthy treat for dogs, I knew I had to try them!

I was sent a 15 oz. bag of DOGSWELL Turkey & Veggies Happy Hips Jerky Bars to review.

The DOGSWELL Jerky Bars are made with 85% protein, 15% good stuff (fruits & vegetables), and no bad ingredients. There is no corn, no soy, no wheat, no ingredients that dogs simply shouldn’t be eating, which can be found in a lot of other dog treats, and food. The Turkey & Veggies flavor I was sent contains Turkey as the protein and main ingredient, and then also has tomatoes, cranberries, carrots, spinach, apples, it’s all good stuff!

The Jerky Bars themselves are a really good size. Here’s a picture inside the bag:

My dog is quite small, so one treat was more than enough for her. But they also weren’t too big for her. They were also really easy to break up, my dog had no trouble easily chewing up the treat. The bag comes with a recommending serving size, depending on your dog’s weight, which I thought was great. Lots of treats do not give a recommended amount daily, so sometimes it’s hard to know how much is too much to give your dog.

The other great think about the DOGSWELL Jerky Bars is that they’re more like a protein bar for your dog. They can be used as a supplement to their food. You can feel good about giving your dog the treat, and know that they’re getting something really healthy, while also treating them.

And, most importantly, did my dog Lily like the DOGSWELL Jerky Bars? She loved them! Every time I open the bag, she jumps around, so excited to receive the treat. She then runs off with them, and chomps them up in no time. These have easily been some of her favorite treats, and they’re also some of the healthiest treats she’s ever had.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these dog treats. The DOGSWELL Happy Hips Jerky Bars are nutritious, a great supplement to a dog’s diet, and make a great treat. And best of all, my dog loved them!
