Many students will be let out next week for summer break. For some students that means three months of care-free play, camp and or summer care programs. In our family, that means three months of mom trying to come up with activities to keep her kids entertained. One of our favorite summer activities is packing a picnic lunch and heading to one of our local parks that has a massive play structure. I usually toss all our food and drinks into a reusable bag. By the time we get to the park, sandwiches are smashed, fruit bruised, and drink condensation has everything soggy. I decided that now was a good time to get the girls their first lunch boxes. We could use them for summer picnics and then the upcoming school year.
My sister in law raves about Laptop Lunches Bento-Ware. Not familiar with Bento Boxes? Bento Boxes are reusable lunch boxes with compartments for all foods. Laptop Lunches use safe materials to make their Bento containers; they are free of lead, BPA, phthalates and PVC. Laptop Lunches Bento Boxes eliminate plastic waste and save you the money you likely would have spent on disposable bags.
For our review, Laptop Lunches sent us a Bento Lunch Box 2.0 in Garden color. (I purchased a second Bento Lunch Box 2.0 in Purple Party.)
Bento Lunch Box 2.0 is compact, easy to use and clean. The box and its compartments have five bright and cheery colors.
I surprised the girls with a special lunch in their Bento Lunch Boxes. I packed a sandwich, veggie sticks with dip, cheese cubes and a graham cracker treat. They loved eating out of their new containers. They actually had fun eating lunch and ate more than they normally do.
I am really happy with our Laptop Lunches Bento-Ware. The Bento Lunch Box 2.0 will help me pack fun and healthy lunches for the girls for many years to come.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

I’ve read such cool stuff about these Bento boxes for lunch and have never gotten on the bandwagon! I really should, huh??

Sometimes I feel like I live under a rock, lol. I have never heard of Bento boxes but I am definitely going to check them out. My daughters are teenagers, so hopefully they have options for them too. Sometimes they like to take their lunch to school, especially if they have a field trip 🙂

We have 2 Laptop Lunches Bento lunchboxes. My (almost 6 year old) son has had his for 3 years; I use the other one to take to work for my lunch. It definitely holds enough food for me for lunch. it just depends on what you pack and how big you make the portions.

I haven’t tried making Bento lunches yet but I know my kids would love them. If I do start to make them I’ll have to try these.

These would be perfect for my kids lunches!!! THANKS!
