*I was sent a Road Rippers Monster Truck in exchange for this post.
Back around the holiday’s, I was able to check out a remote control car from Toy State that my nephews loved. They were excited about it when they first got it and I had seen that they were still playing with it recently so I thought it was definitely a “winner”. So when I had the chance to check out another toy from the Road Rippers line from Toy State, I thought my nephews would appreciate it if I said yes.
This time around, I was able to check out a 4×4 Monster Truck. The one we got is called Bigfoot. To be completely honest, at first my nephews were bummed because they thought it was a remote control monster truck and were bummed to find out that was not the case. However, after we got it out of the box they were excited and surprised to learn that the buttons allow the truck to be propelled forward or backwards. They had never seen a toy car or truck that wasn’t remote control but had buttons to move forward and backward, so they thought that was neat. There are several other buttons on top of the truck. Some of the other buttons make noises or allow the lights to flash.
This truck is recommended for ages 3+ because of choking hazards, though I think many children younger than that would enjoy it also, as long as they are supervised well. I gave this to my nephew for his 9th birthday and I think he was a bit old for it, but perhaps that would be different if he had a particular interest in monster trucks. For non-monster truck enthusiasts, I think it would be best for the 3-7 year old age range, where they still enjoy pushing trucks around the room or their yard. For my 9 year old nephew it seemed to only hold his interest for a few minutes at a time, though he did think it was cool.
Toy State has lots of other vehicle based toys for children from preschool up through the teenage years.

Looks like your nephew loved his monster truck. I don’t think he’s too old for it!

I’m glad these remote control trucks are still in style since they’re so fun. I know drones are big right now but not so much for little kids and seems you may need a permit to fly them so these are easier to deal with.
My nephew is also 9 and loves monster trucks so I think he would like it. Actually I think his 34 year old dad would like it too. 😉
