Technology is out in full force these days and we all want to do our best to enhance and protect the products we purchase. Logitech is a company focused on quality and innovation. I was sent the FabricSkin Keyboard Folio in Mars Red Orange to review.  We have owned our iPad for about 9 months now and it was our first real boost into the world of technology.  While we had cell phones previous to the iPad, our phones were very low key.  Mine was actually about 8 years old and didn’t even have a camera.  So owning an iPad was a big step.  So many people love their electronics and I just couldn’t understand why.  Now that Logitech has entered our home, I can finally see why.  I can’t believe how much easier it is to use the iPad now that we have the Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio.

I’ll start from the beginning.  When the package arrived, I was immediately impressed by the sturdy box.  The construction of the box let me know that this company took pride in packaging and also wanted to make sure that their products arrive safely into the hands of their customers.  Upon opening the box, I was met with a sleek well designed product.  Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio is sturdy and truly protects your iPad on the front and back.  The color is stated as Mars Red/Orange and is a nice vibrant color.  The material feels high quality as well.  I was able to easily “snap” the iPad into the FabricSkin Keyboard Folio.  It has a very snug secure fit and I love the fact that I won’t have to worry about the iPad falling out.  Upon further inspection, I quickly noticed the magnetic stand on the folio seems to “lock” into the upright position effortlessly.  Then I noticed that it will also “lock” into the lying flat position as well.  Wow.  So far so good.

I like to type.  I think the biggest reason I never really thought the iPad (or any tablet) was that great is because I have a hard time pecking anything out on the screen keyboard.  It just feels awkward.  I couldn’t imagine a student having to type a paper or do any schoolwork on the iPad that way.  Logitech has found the solution.  They have seamlessly integrated the keyboard onto the folio fabric.  Because the keys are built in, they look and feel sleek and are easy to use.  Logitech also took into account that life happens.  They have covered the fabric on both the interior and exterior of the FabricSkin Folio with a liquid-repelling coating to help protect your iPad.  With four children in our home, I’m extra grateful for this feature.

Logitech has also made sure that the FabricSkin Keyboard magnets partner with the magnets in your iPad frame.  This results in your iPad automatically waking up when you open the FabricSkin Keyboard Folio cover and going back to sleep when you close it.  Not only does this help preserve your iPad battery life, but also your keyboard battery life.  Talking about battery life, the BlueTooth Keyboard is charged with the included USB cable.  Based on an average use of two hours per day, this charge can last up to three months.

The Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard also has openings and access to all your necessary ports, power button, volume buttons, and camera.  It truly seems as though Logitech has thought of everything.  We have found this product to be an outstanding addition to our iPad and would highly recommend it.  On top of all that, I was able to completely set this up by myself.  I typically wait for my husband to help with any tech gadgets or products that need assembly but I thought I should give this a try and it was so user friendly.  The directions were very clear cut and simple that I was able to complete the process in less than 5 minutes from opening the box to typing on my Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio.  This product seems to excel far above the previous ones that I had been checking out at the local big box store.  Our family gives the Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio two enthusiastic thumbs up.
