Everything began in May of 2007 when two moms, Emily and Sabrina, sat chatting about the lack of great UV protective children’s swimwear that was available. So the journey was set in motion to create a fun beachwear and swimwear collection that was not only stylish and cool, but helped keep kids safe in the sun. During the search for prints, it was important to keep the boho style in mind since both moms loved it, and yet create a product that included both quality and served the intended function. It proved difficult to find the prints in mind so these moms decided to design them as well. Since the launch of their very first line, Sunuva has had an overwhelming response from both the press and celebrities.  You can now even find Sunuva in major department stores such as Barneys, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, and Selfridges as well as independent boutiques all over the world.  Luxury independent holiday resorts such as Four Seasons and One & Only have also picked up the Sunuva line.

Sunuva sent me the Girls Cupcake Swimsuit and the Girls Strawberry Flutter Dress to review.  Typically, I would have chosen a size 8 for my daughter but Sunuva sizes run in double.  So I had to choose either a 7/8 or a 9/10.  I decided to go up a size to be safe as I took the line of thinking “she can always grow into the suit if it’s too big”.  So we ordered the 9/10.

First thing I want to mention was their super fast shipping.  They even have free next-day shipping to UK addresses.  It took only 3 days to receive our order.  As soon as you feel the suit, you can tell the quality is high.  The suit feels nice and lightweight, soft to the touch, yet seems really durable.  All that and super cute to boot.  I’m really glad we went with the 9/10 because it’s only a tiny bit too big.  She could easily wear it already this year and still fit in it for a couple more years.  The sundress is also very pretty.  It will be perfect for hot days or to wear at the beach.  It’s the lightest weight sundress I’ve ever seen.  It will definitely keep my daughter nice and cool this summer.  She really likes both pieces and we are very happy with the quick shipping and reply to emails.  This company definitely takes customer service to the top level.
