I have been on a quest this summer to find better sunscreen products for our family. After some research, I compiled a list of ingredients that I want to see in products and another list of those I don’t want to see. Today, I would like to share with you one of the companies that met and passed my criteria. I would like you to meet Elemental Herbs.
For our review, Elemental Herbs sent us their ZINC SUNSTICK and ZINC SUNSCREEN.
Zinc Sunstick is a convenient and mess-free way to apply sunscreen to your face. It provides Broad UVA/UVB sun protection. It is formulated with zinc and certified organic oils to nourish your skin.
My daughters, ages 4 and 6, loved using the Zinc Sunstick because with it, they could easily apply sunscreen to their own faces. Because it was something they could do themselves, they didn’t mind reapplying it. I would suggest keeping your Sunstick in a cool location. We had ours with us on a sunny boat and it got a little soft.
Zinc Sunscreen gives you SPF 33 UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum Protection. It contains pure non-nano zinc oxide, organic green tea, rose hip antioxidants, extra virgin olive oil and certified organic jojoba. It is 100% GMO Free, Gluten Free, Paraben Free, PABA Free. It is also biodegradable.
This sunscreen has a light texture. It rubbed in well and seemed to provide a good amount of sun protection. It had a light almost undetectable sent. It didn’t feel greasy and never irritated our sensitive eczema prone skin.
Both Elemental Herbs products are safe for coral and reefs.
You can connect with Elemental Herbs on facebook and twitter.
Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

there is NEVER enough sunscreen in this house 😉

Great to hear that it didn’t bother your eczema prone skin. My boys really struggle with eczema and sunscreen definitely flares it up.

I’ve never tried this brand before, but that sunstick looks really easy to use!
