One big trend lately, especially with shows like the Walking Dead being popular, is the zombie/horror trend. I’ve even seen zombie weddings! I’m a bit of a fan of darker decor, and when I stumbled across Horror Decor, I liked a lot of their items. Horror Decor is a website that has all kinds of unique horror themed items for your home. From pillows, to curtains, to pot holders. I was very excited to be able to review some items from Horror Decor.

I received the following items from Horror Decor to review:

I received the Horror Decor Talking Board Throwing Pillow, and a Green Beaker Candle, Red Beaker Candle, and Yellow Beaker Candle.

I really liked the Talking Board Throwing Pillow when I saw it on their site, and was really glad to see it looks exactly the same in real life. The front of the pillow has the talking board design, and the back is black. The design looks just like a real talking board, or ouija board. This pillow is 11″ tall x 17″ wide. It’s the perfect size for a throwing pillow. It works great on a couch, loveseat, or chair. The pillow is nice and soft and cushy. It’s more than just a cute pillow, it’s also actually functional and usable and very comfy.

I also really liked the beaker candles when I saw them on the website. They’re very “geek chic.” I actually thought they’d be smaller than they ended up being. They’re a really nice size, 3.5 inches tall. They’re filled with gel wax, which lasts a really long time. The green beaker candle is apple scented, the red is cinnamon, and the yellow is vanilla. They each smell really good, and have a fairly strong scent. Another really cool thing about them is that the green and the yellow candles glow in the dark. I like having one lit in the bathroom, so I can especially see it glowing.

Overall, I really like my items from Horror Decor. The pillow is unique, and comfy. The candles are really cute, especially since I’m a major science nerd, and they smell great, and last a long time. Horror Decor has lots of unique items. They’d be good for dorm rooms, or anyone that enjoys darker decor. And while it’s still a few months away, their items would be great for Halloween.
